WORKS UNDERTAKEN DURING JUNE

JUNE 2018 With the roof carcass works complete, the team spent June working hard to complete the external timber cladding and roof tiling so that the building can be watertight. Fortunately the weather during this summer has been excellent which has meant that these works continued without weather delay.

Internally, the team spent the team finalising the first fix electrical and mechanical works and then working on all insulating and boarding to the external walls, internal walls, interfloor and roof areas.

WORKS UNDERTAKEN DURING JULY AND EARLY AUGUST With the roof works completed the scaffold could be struck and the building was now ready for the installation of the Residence 9 doors and windows.

Residence 9 doors and windows installed and balcony construction completed

Residence 9 side window installed

The balcony construction works were completed with final paint finishes to be added to the external

finish and the installation of the external balustrading to come.

In early August the groundworks team set out and installed the external SUDS (Sustainable Urban

Drainage System) bodpave pathway around the building. This is a porous and very environmentally

friendly hard landscaping system that is also wheelchair accessible.

Below the external cladding, the build team have commenced works on the limestone walling which

will be completed within the following two-three weeks.

• Balcony balustrading works

• Stair balustrading works

• Screeding to ground floor

• Completion of all plastering and commencement of decorations

• Commencement of tiling

• Commencement of second fix mechanical and electrical works

• Completion of all door and window installation

• Completion of limestone works

• Paving slabs installed

• Asbestos survey booked for Monday 13th August

• Completion of all guttering and timber frame finishing works

• Lift installed

• Gas services works
