SUNDAY, OCTOBER 18 - We depart from our home cities and arrive in Chicago to connect to flights overnight to TelAviv. Dinner and breakfast served aboard. D (dinner) & B (breakfast)

MONDAY, OCTOBER 19 - Arrival at Ben Gurion Airport this afternoon. We clear Customs and transfer by motorcoach to reach the Scots Hotel, our hotel on the Sea of Galilee. Before dinner we go directly across from our hotel tocelebrate HOLY MASS in the Franciscan church of St. Peter. D TIBERIAS

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 20 - This morning we drive up the hill where Jesus gaveHis Sermon on the Mount. On this beautiful hillside overlooking the Sea of Galilee,we will celebrate HOLY MASS ON MT. BEATITUDES. Down to the northwestshore of the Lake we are at a site called Tabgha (Seven Springs) to visit the placeof Jesus' miracle of the Multiplication of Loaves and Fishes. Further on we cometo the Chapel of the Primacy of Peter.This is the place where Our Lord confirmedupon Peter his role as leader of the apostlesand of the whole Church. Here we willpray for the intentions of the Holy Father.AFTERNOON: A lunch is included which

will offer St. Peter's fish, a specialty of the area. At the north shore of the Lake, weembark on a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, remembering the scripture passagesof Jesus and His apostles on this Lake. Next we drive to Capernaum, knownas the Second City of Jesus, where we will see the ruins of the second centurySynagogue (John 6) and the ancient structure of the House of Peter. Many Gospelpassages recall Our Lord's teachings and healing miracles in Capernaum.

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 21 - This morning we drive to Cana, where Jesus'first miracle took place. During our visit couples in our group have the opportunityto renew their wedding vows, and all can remember Mary's words, "Do whateverHe tells you." It is then a short drive to the town where Jesus spent most of His Life,Nazareth in Galilee. There we enter the beautiful Basilica of the Annunciation.At the Grotto ofthe Annunciation we will venerate the very place where the WordWas Made Flesh. We will visit the great Upper Basilica and conclude with a visitto St. Joseph's workshop. AFTERNOON: There will be a break for lunch on ourown. Then we proceed south to reach Mount Tabor, the site of the Transfiguration,where Peter, James and John beheld Our Lord gloriously Transfigured between Moses

and Elijah. We will celebrate HOLY MASS in the BASILICA OF THE TRANSFIGURATION. B & D TmERIAS

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 22 - Early today we head for the Sheik Hussein border, crossing into Jordan and continuingon to the capital city Amman. We arrive at the Al Misdar parish and school. The school has an enrollment of around350 students, and is under the pastoral care of the Latin Patriarchate. Funds collected annually from Lieutenancies ofthe Order of the Holy Sepulchre are sent to the Patriarch by the Order's Grand Magisterium in Rome. We will celebrateMASS IN THE PARISH CHURCH, and will pay a visit to the school. Later this afternoon we check in at the MarriottHotel, our hotel in Amman. B & DAMMAN

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 23 - This morning we drive directly to the Jordanian side of the Jordan River called Bethabara,site ofSt. John's Baptism of the Lord. Here we celebrate MASS BY THE JORDAN RIVER and renew our BaptismalPromises. We continue our journey across the border at the Allenby Bridge to reach Qumran, site of the Dead Sea Scrollsdiscovery and the ancient ruins of the Essene Community. After time for lunch and a tour we drive up to Jerusalem andcheck in to our hotel, the Notre Dame Center, across the street from a Gate into the Old City and our lodging for the nextsix nights. We have dinner together. B & D JERUSALEM

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 24 - We drive to the Summit ofMt. Olives to visitthe Chapel of the Ascension and the Church of Pater Noster. Walking thePalm Sunday Road, we visit and celebrate MASS IN DOMINUS FLEVITCHURCH. There, too, we have a wonderful panoramic view of the City ofJerusalem. At the foot of Mt. Olives we enter the Garden of Gethsemane,scene of Our Lord's Agony in the Garden. AFTERNOON: We drive to a townjust outside of Jerusalem called Ein Karem. The Blessed Mother went herein haste to visit her cousin Elizabeth. We will enter the church of St. Johnthe Baptist and the Visitation Church, where we will praise God with theMagnificat. This evening we return to the Garden of Gethsemane and Rockof Agony Church, there to spend a Holy Hour with Exposition of the BlessedSacrament and the opportunity for Confession. B & D JERUSALEM

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 25 - This morning we celebrate MASS IN THE FRANCISCANS' CENACLE CHAPEL, locatednear Zion Gate. Then we pay a visit to the traditional site of the Upper Room, and there prayerfully recall that this wasthe setting for Holy Thursday, the Easter Sunday appearance of Our Lord as well as the descent of the Holy Spirit onPentecost. Nearby we visit Dormition Abbey Church, which honors the passage of Our Lady from this life to Heaven.AFTERNOON: We drive east and down to the Dead Sea, lowest spot on earth. Lunch is available here, and we caneven take the opportunity for a dip in these mineral rich waters. We then visit Jericho, the most ancient city in theHoly Land. We recall its prominence in both the Old and the New Testaments. Returning to Jerusalem, we drive up toBethany, home of Martha, Mary and Lazarus, to see its beautiful church and to visit the Tomb of Lazarus.

MONDAY, OCTOBER 26 - Traveling a short distance south of Jerusalem, we arrive in Bethlehem. In the countrysideclose by we visit the Shepherds Fields of Boaz and remember the angels' glad tidings to the shepherds. There wecelebrate HOLY MASS in a GROTTO AT SHEPHERDS FIELDS. In the heart of Bethlehem we visit the Church of the

Nativity, and there we will venerate the Holy Grotto of the Nativity, and the Manger too.We enter the adjacent Franciscan Church of St. Catherine, scene of Bethlehem 's ChristmasMidnight Mass. There we will venerate the Grotto ofSt. Jerome, site where that early saintof our Church translated the entire Bible into what is called the Vulgate (the Latin language).AFTERNOON: A special experience will be a visit to Bethlehem University, where wewill meet students, faculty and its Christian Brothers directors. This is the only ChristianUniversity in Palestine. It provides higher education to both Christians and Moslems. Ourlunch is provided by their hotel management faculty. Late this afternoon we enter the OldCity of Jerusalem to reach the Church ofthe Holy Sepulchre to make our SOLEMN ENTRYINTO THE TOMB OF JESUS. B, L & D JERUSALEM

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 27 - Early this morning with the Franciscans chanting the commonhymns, we celebrate MASS ATTHE TOMB OF JESUS in Holy ;

Sepulchre Church. This morning a Reception will be arranged for our pilgrimage groupwith His Beatitude, the Latin Rite Patriarch of Jerusalem. At this meeting members ofthe Order will receive a PILGRIM'S SHELL from the Patriarch. AFTERNOON: We drivealong the Old City walls to a Gate leading to the sacred Jewish Temple area, the WesternWall or Wailing Wall, where prayers are offered up at these remaining holy stones of theglorious second temple. Today the only structures standing on the Temple Mount are theMoslem Shrines ofthe Dome of the Rock and Mosque el Aqsa. Then near Mt. Zion Gatewe visit the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu, built over the spot where Our Lord was

held in the dungeon of Caiphas' house and scene of the triple denial of St. Peter. In the latter part of the afternoon wehave some free time. This evening we go out for a special Middle Eastern Dinner. B & D JERUSALEM

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 28 - This morning we enter the City of Jerusalem at St Stephen's Gate where our first stopis at St. Anne Church and the Pools of Bethesda. Next we celebrate MASS AT THE CHAPEL OF FLAGELLATIONin preparation for making the Way of the Cross. Carrying a wooden cross along the streetsamong the markets and shops as Jesus did on His journey to Calvary, we follow the ViaDolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Within the church we visit Golgotha andcomplete our devotions at the Sacred Tomb of Jesus. The rest of the day is at leisure forpersonal activities or shopping. Some may want to visit the Museum at the Citadel, whichdisplays the history of Jerusalem from ancient times to the present day. Time spent thereis well worth it. B & D JERUSALEM

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 29 - Very early this morning we transfer to the Ben Gurionairport for our return f1ights to the U.S., arriving this same day in our home city.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

RESERVATIONS AND PAYMENT: Travel Tyme requires adeposit of $400 per person that is to be sent with the application atthe time of booking. This deposit forms a part of your final payment,which must be received by us no later than 65 days prior to departure.Seats are limited on this Pilgrimage, so we suggest an early booking.

CANCELLATIONS: Please make all cancellations in writing. Thefollowing cancellation charges apply per person: Ifcancelled 120 days ormore prior to departure, a $75 administration fee is charged. Ifcancelled119-61 days prior, $300 penalty will be charged for coach passengers,or $800 for business class passengers. If cancelled 60-15 days prior,a $900 penalty will be charged. Ifcancelled 14 days or less. the totalamount of the trip will be forfeited. In addition, once the airline ticketsare issued, about 40 days prior to departure, the cost is non-refundable(approximately $1462 in coach and $4422 in business).

TRAVEL INSURANCE: We strongly recommend the purchaseof travel insurance to recuperate the penalties charged for cancellationfor health reasons. You would be fully covered, except if pre-existingconditions are evident. Even so, the insurer waives the exclusion forpre-existing conditions, if insurance is purchased within 15 days ofdeposit received by Travel Tyme.
