A control desk is above all anoperator control station which mustbe functional. By developing thisrange, Himel decided to incorporatecomfort and efficiency for faultlessoperation.

The result of continuously listeningto our customers is quite simply arange of control desks combiningflexibility, ease of mounting thecontrol equipment and ergonomicdesign for machine or processcontrol.

Two technologies meeting IP55 andIK10 requirements:• A Monobloc range• A Modular range

To complement this family ofcontrol desks, a complete range ofaccessories is available, compatiblewith the rest of the Himel range offloor standing enclosures.

Depending on your application, youcan choose between a control deskin sheet steel or in stainless steel.

Control of industrial machinesand processes - infrastructures

When the operator is placed infull-time control of a machine,a control desk is preferable to afloor standing enclosure, providingeasy control and good supervisionof the process.

Food processing

For machine control in a harshenvironment, Himel proposes acomplete range of stainless steelcontrol desks to alleviate theproblems of corrosion and someet the very strict hygieneregulations.

• A pneumatic retaining stayfacilitates opening of the topof the control desk andprevents it dropping downunexpectedly.

• The cable entry gland platesat the bottom of the controldesk are in two slidingparts to optimise cabling.An adhesive gasket can beadded to these plates toensure dust and dampprotection.

The principle of construction ofthe Himel control desks (patentapplied for) enables total accessto the equipment together withunhindered equipment installation.

This range of monobloc controldesks includes versions with orwithout console.

• Changing the direction ofopening of the doors is fastand does not require specialtools through the use ofscrew-fixed hinges.

• The removal of the frontupright allows for acomplete access to theinside of the control desk.

• The operator panels ofthe main part of the controldesk and the console areequipped with vertical railsfor mounting equipment orsecuring the cables.

• Cross rails can be used toaccommodate the samec o m p o n e n t m o u n t i n gaccessories as those usedfor our standard enclosureranges.

• The closing system uses a5 mm double bar. A widerange of lock combinationsis available in the form ofaccessories.

Two vers ions are avai lable:without back panel or withremovable back panel.

Access to equipment is total andunhindered from the front of thecontrol desk.

• These control desks areequipped with side cross-rails providing support,depth adjustment and fixingfor the different equipmentm o u n t i n g a c c e s s o r i e st h r o u g h t h e u s e o fperforations at 25 mm pitch.

• Installation of two chassisback-to-back is very easy andprovides space for maximumof equipment.
