[MILANO SAKE FESTIVAL 2017] CELEBRATING JAPANESE DRINKING CULTURE

Milano Sake Festival 2017 is at its 4th edition and it’s a Festival to

celebrate japanese drinking culture: from Sake to Shochu from

Ochoko to Omotenashi, from Japanese Whisky to Japanese Beer!

Everyone is welcome, as long as you come with the Kanpai spirit.

[MILANO SAKE FESTIVAL 2017] FRIDAY: “SAKE DINNERS & APERITIFS”

On friday september 29th Milano restaurants will organise

“sake theme dinners” who will be promoted on our

website nd included in the program and through our media

promotion package (only sponsor dinners).

The media promotion package includes: - La Via del Sake facebook fans - La Via del Sake newsletter (3 times) - Special facebook advertising - Special media & business invitation (food & restaurant industry, sake

industry)

The dinner is a perfect occasion to establish or

consolidate relationships with restaurateurs, chef,

sommeliers, media and beverage industry.

Sponsor Sake Dinners will be in the most exclusive restaurants of Milano (japanese and not only). According

to the sponsorship level you will have a certain amount of free seats. You can always buy more. The menu will

be inspired on your sake and only your sake will be served. The special menu will be offered also to visitors of

the restaurant for that night.

We will take care of organization, booking, tables, menu, materials, sake delivery/pick up, promotion etc etc in

agreement with you. Please contact us for a list of restaurants and further details.

[MILANO SAKE FESTIVAL 2017] SATURDAY: “SAKE FOR THE PEOPLE”

On saturday september 30th from 14:00 hrs to 24:00 hrs people can

come and try many different type of sake in a big space with a

open air terrace. We want to spread sake among cool milanese

people.

Entrance includes a glass (free to take home as omiyage) and 5 coins

(1€ each) to purchase sake. Each exhibitor can sell sake, by the

glass or bottle. You decide the price, you sell at your desk! Sales

will be only in exchange for “sake coins” (no cash or cards

transactions).

The objective is to celebrate sake and spread it among young

people and japan/food lovers. At midnight we will make a

SAKE MAESTRO 2017

The award is meant to acknowledge and award:

• the knowledge and understanding of sake

• proficiency in sake service

• originality and creativity

• local adaptation skills

The objective of the award is to promote sake culture in Europe and to

create a meaningful collaboration between sake producers and the most

talented beverage industry operators.

The award will take place once per year, starting from autumn 2016 and

the winner will travel 5 days in Japan visiting sake breweries and

learning how to make and use sake.

SAKE MAESTRO 2017: THE CHALLENGE

PARTICIPANTS AND PARTNERS

Any food professional (chef, sommelier, buyer, caterer...) living or working in Italy (one of the following is required: italian nationality, italian residence or proof of work in Italy) can take part to the competition. Registrations close on November 15th 2017.

The 3 finalist’s challenge and award ceremony will take place in Milano on december 2017.

A prestigious jury made of international sake experts, chefs and sake industry people will select a shortlist of 3 candidates based on the subscriptions (recipe, pictures, questions, curriculum). The 3 finalists will be invited to prepare their dish.

The jury will nominate 1 winner who will receive:

- a supply of sake from our partners • a winning certificate • a personalised Maekake (japanese traditional apron) • a dedicated page on the “Hall of Fame”
