Lion Stampede 2019 “Full Steam Ahead!”

Dear Regency Place Families – It’s hard to believe that this is the 17th annual Lion Stampede! While it has changed somewhat over these years, our goal is the same! Provide a single fundraising school wide event that involves the entire school, community, and provides economical family entertainment AND generate extra funding for RP. The PTO fundraising committee has worked relentlessly throughout the year to put on this event. Hard work, but we had LOTS of fun too! SPECIAL THANKS TO THEM! Chairperson Lizzie Haag and TEAM worked TIRELESSLY!

Regency Place thanks our corporate sponsors:

Every Regency Place Family has contributed to the event in some way. Thanks for your donations and participation throughout the year with our various Stampede events: Peppermint Stick Challenge, Jug Challenge, Chipotle Night, Gum Day, and Pledge Packets. We appreciate you all! What a team! Did you know that funds earned through the Stampede stay right here at Regency Place? Through parent/student/teacher input, we know that enhancing our Genius Lab (STEM classroom) by adding additional hands on learning items will be a priority with 2019 Stampede funds. Other allocation priorities will continue: field trips, online subscriptions, and funding grade level projects. Students, teachers, and parents ALL have input as to how funds are spent. We’ve been excited with how funds have enhanced our school programming in years past. RP relies on PTO fundraising to support activities and projects that were previously covered by the school budget. So, be sure to join us on 5/3/2019! Celebrate public education and your neighborhood school. We’re glad you chose Regency Place…Take Risks, Take Action, Take Pride! Greg E. Oborny, Principal (See you at the Finish Line!)

Lion Stampede 2019 “Full Steam Ahead!”

Regency Place Families – Welcome to the 17th Annual Lion Stampede! Together with the best elementary school staff in Olathe, an amazing committee of smart, creative, and hard-working people; and the incomparable Regency Place community, I have had a great time planning this evening of family fun! We’ve gone back to basics with our PTO fundraising this year after buying playground equipment in 2017 and funding the walking trail and the Genius Lab launch in 2018. This year’s fundraising will support ongoing Genius Lab updates and operations as well as supporting teachers and grade levels with additional instructional materials and funding field trips. While we are going back to basics, we are also saving and planning for future goals and projects. This evening of fun and community would not be possible without every RP family and staff member. From contributing 2L of soda, volunteering for the evening, family donations, and Scrips contributions - every little piece is key in pulling together a successful Lion Stampede! A special thank you to our generous corporate sponsors. Their sponsorships cover the costs of t-shirts and games; allowing pledge packet funds and ticket sales to directly benefit our students. In-kind donations of raffle items, prizes, food and snacks provide all those little extras to make the evening unique. From decorating cookies with Mr. O at Kindergarten roundup to Morning Show jokes and Jingle Jam, RP is full of beloved traditions. The Lion Stampede tradition has a special place in the hearts of Regency Place Lions and their families. On behalf of the Lion Stampede Committee, we hope this year will prove to be a night of fun for your whole family and that this tradition will remain a favorite memory of years spent at Regency Place. Full Steam Ahead!
