Travelling in a unique airstream motorhome, you will take in the best that the south-eastern coast of Australia has to offer, from Jervis to Batemans Bay. This short tour works perfectly as an add-on to a longer Australia holiday, or can be extended into a full- length 1-2 week adventure. What is an Airstream? Airstream “land yachts” are state-of the-art, retro caravans hand-crafted in the USA out of aluminium since 1932. To this day, they continue to follow design, engineering and construction principles established over 80 years ago. These iconic, completely self- contained and environmentally-friendly caravans are the ultimate way to experience the great outdoors in both comfort and style—and with all mod cons you could ask for (solar power, air-con, full kitchenette with gas stove, shower, TV and DVD player)! This glamping adventure takes place on the South Coast of New South Wales, but do ask if you have another location in mind or would like to consider a longer itinerary encompassing more of the country. The airstreams carry up to four people, making them ideal for independent couples or small families. Totally flexible, they give discerning travellers a unique and fun way to explore the Australian coast with access to exclusive campsites and an array of activities. The tours are fully supported (your airstream is driven by a local guide), and can be adapted to suit your preferences.

New South Wales Glamping Adventure

Discover the beauty of New South Wales at your own pace in this special motorhome adventure. Travelling in a unique airstream motorhome, you will take in the best that the south-eastern coast of Australia has to offer, from Jervis to Batemans Bay. This short tour works perfectly as an add-on to a longer Australia holiday, or can be extended into a full-length 1-2 week adventure.

What is an Airstream? Airstream “land yachts” are state-of the-art, retro caravans hand-crafted in the USA out of aluminium since 1932. To this day, they continue to follow design, engineering and construction principles established over 80 years ago. These iconic, completely self-contained and environmentally-friendly caravans are the ultimate way to experience the great outdoors in both comfort and style—and with all mod cons you could ask for (solar power, air-con, full kitchenette with gas stove, shower, TV and DVD player)!

Day 1: Depart Sydney Depart Sydney early this morning in your private airstream and drive to the Royal National Park, just south of the city. Spend the morning exploring the park on foot as part of a guided bush walk, taking in various indigenous rock art sites, dramatic waterfalls and magnificent sea views, before stopping for lunch. After a picnic lunch in the park, continue down the coast to your private campsite in the Shoalhaven Valley, with opportunities along the way to stop at some of the vineyards for which the valley is famous. On arrival at the campsite, enjoy a sundowner cocktail, followed by a tasty BBQ accompanied by local wines. Day 2: Jervis Bay to Milton Start the day with a home-cooked breakfast in the airstream galley kitchen, before setting off for Hyams Beach in Jervis Bay for a guided kayak/paddleboard tour. After a picnic lunch on the beach, continue down the coast in the direction of Milton, with the chance to stop at another vineyard along the way and stock up on wine. Afterwards, continue to your private campsite.

In the afternoon, pay a visit to Bannisters by the Sea, a luxury townhouse in Mollymook, where you can spend the afternoon relaxing by the pool or taking advantage of the various spa treatments on offer. As the day comes to a close, enjoy a sundowner cocktail in Bannisters’ stylish ‘pop-up’ bar, before heading to Rick Stein’s for dinner. Return to the airstream and your campsite late evening, where you can stay up and admire the stars, or get to bed in good time to ensure you wake up bright-eyed and bushy tailed for tomorrow’s adventures.

Day 3: Wildlife and Wine After breakfast in the airstream, set off along the coast in search of sea mammals—either whales or fur seals, depending on the season. If the weather’s good, you may like to go for a swim in the ocean before the morning ends. In the afternoon, enjoy a superb lunch at Cupitt’s Winery, a marvellous kitchen restaurant located just outside Milton. The rest of the afternoon is free to relax. Spend time exploring Cupitt’s vineyards, or return to the campsite to rest. In the evening, enjoy a leisurely BBQ meal with lots of fresh local sea food. Day 4: Kangaroos and a Seaplane Wake early this morning and head to Pebbly Beach for a spot of tea and kangaroo-viewing! These charming creatures have made a home of the beach, and the early morning, when they’re at their most active, is the best time to view them. Late morning, board a seaplane and gain a very different perspective on the Shoalhaven Coast. Viewed from the above, the coastline appears all the more dramatic and beautiful. At the end of the flight you will be dropped off in Nowra, where your airstream will be waiting for you. But before setting off on the return journey to Sydney, make a stop at the Wharf Rd restaurant for a delicious lunch made with locally-sourced, organic produce—Wharf Rd is widely considered one of the best restaurants in town, and with good reason. During the return drive to Sydney, you’ll have the chance to stop at a number of lookout spots—use this opportunity to get some great photos to carry home with you. Your tour ends in Sydney, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel. Some of the activities and locations visited during this tour may chance depending on the weather and seasonal conditions.
