Director of First Year Experience WelcomeTo our newest Oakwoodites:

Welcome! As the Director for your 2018-2019 First Year Experience (FYE), I am so excited to have you here with us. Your first year at Oakwood is a great

time to meet new people and learn new skills, to grow in your relationship with God, and to prepare for the great things that await beyond Oakwood! The FYE department is here to make sure you’re able to accomplish those things in the most fun, effective, and comprehensive way possible. This year, our theme is “Hit the Ground Running”. We don’t want you to wait until second semester, next year or senior year to start moving in the direction of your dreams. Start now! If you want to be exceptional in whichever field of study you’ve chosen? Start now! You want to experience good, lasting friendships? Start now! Want to build your brand as a future entrepreneur? Start now! Remember the Bible says in Ecclesiastes 9:11, “The race is not given to the swift, nor the battle to the strong...but time and chance happen to them all.” This is your time! This is your chance! Hit the ground running!
