Winners of MCIA’s Best Cebu Summer Ever promo were given the opportunity to experience Cebu as a beach, food and adventure destination. A group enjoyed the white sand beaches of Bantayan Island, while another group explored the food scene in Cebu City. A third group of adventurers also tried canyoneering and whaleshark watching in southern Cebu.

Cebu Pacific subsidiary Cebgo kicked off its flights to Busuanga (Coron) and Cotabato last May 15 and 16, respectively. True to tradition, the first passenger to check in on each flight

received a round trip ticket from Cebu Pacific. Both flights were sent off with a water cannon salute. Passengers also received giveaways and tokens both from Cebu Pacific and

Mactan Cebu International Airport.

Cebu Pacific now connects to 27 domestic destinations from Cebu.

WHAT TO DO: Explore Spanish / American period houses and structures, including the Carcar Rotunda and dispensary / public museum. St. Catherine of Alexandria Church in Carcar is the second oldest church in Cebu.

Go on a food trip! Carcar is famous for its version of lechon (roasted pig), and native delicacies such as chicharon (pork cracklings) and ampao.

Take a bus or mini-bus at the South Bus terminal; est. travel time 1 hour. Both Bato-Barili and Oslob bus routes pass through Carcar.

Mactan to Camotes ferry now sailing

From one beach destination to another – Jomalia Shipping Corp. has started operating trips between Mactan and Camotes Islands. The ferry leaves from the Mactan Wharf, a newly opened private wharf beside Cebu Yacht Club just 5 minutes away from Mactan
