EASTER TREAT

BAGS ARE ON THEIR

WAY!March 15, 2012 - TF Wolfpack volunteers got together to stuff candy and simple toys into approx. 600 eggs to add to the approx. 1400 already stuffed eggs that were put together to ship over to our troopers for Easter. Included in the bags are donated candy and small personal health items that were picked up by additional volunteers at Give to the Troops in Greenville, NC. Enclosed with a child decorated Easter greeting we hope that they all have a blessed holiday even if they can’t be at home.

PLEASE COME OUT AND ENJOY!!

Checking the weather report, just this morning, it looks like it will be an ideal afternoon for an Easter Egg Hunt! Make sure to BYOEB (Bring Your Own Easter Basket)!! The three age groups are listed to the right ➜. We will be running them consecutively starting shortly after the Easter Bunny arrives at the event!

Unlike last year, when we had to move inside due to inclement weather, it should be a sunny afternoon. With that in mind, please plan accordingly for your little one(s)! Make sure they have a hat and suncreen or some other protection from the sun.

See you there!!

A CHARTER SCHOOL AT FT. BRAGGA charter school on Fort Bragg could open in August 2013 with as many as 800 high school students, officials said Friday.

Charter schools get public money but have more flexibility than traditional public schools. State lawmakers lifted a cap on charter schools in June.

Preliminary plans for the Fort Bragg school call for military students on post to have first preference. Military students off post would get next priority before enrollment is open to other students.

About 60 parents attended meetings on Fort Bragg to gauge interest in a charter school. Reaction was favorable.

The Romine Group, a for-profit educational management company in Michigan, plans to apply for the charter by an April 13 deadline. The company also plans to seek a charter for an elementary school in Fayetteville.

An independent school board would run the charter school.

This months website feature is not a single site but several links regarding recalled products from the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (USDA).

We are featuring the many sites this month because as we head into the warmer months we will be outside more often! A lot of that time may be doing activities where we have made equipment purchases or with groups sharing a potluck. In all those cases... we might want to know more about what has been recently recalled or something of concern.

Each CPSC link will provide you with a picture of the recalled item and allow you to obtain specific information regarding each recalled product.  The USDA portion may have two links; one link for the recall message and another link to view a picture of the product or the product's label (if available).

If the recalled items do not affect you directly; please do not disregard it. Instead, help prevent injuries, illness or fatalities by sending this information to friends, family members and/or co-workers that may own, use or consume these products.
