Introduction

The News and Improvements section includes information about: new and changed features; fixed issues; andknown issues and limitations in the latest version of Visma Business Regnskapsbyrå.

We recommend that you read through the document, so that you are familiar with the changes that have beenmade in this version before you start using it.

It is especially important that you read the Installation guide before you upgrade.

Visma application compatibilityWhen you are installing multiple Visma products you must make sure they are compatible.

Visma Business product line compatibility

Visma Business Regnskapsbyrå, Visma Reporting, Visma Document Center, Visma ERP POS and Visma UserDirectory are all a part of the Visma Business product line. Within the product line all products with the same majorversion number are compatible.

The version numbers for all products in the product line consists of major, minor and patch number separated byperiods.

When installing more than one of the products in the product line the major version of the products must be the same.However the minor version and the patch numbers may vary.

I.e. Visma Business Regnskapsbyrå 11.01.0 will work together with Visma Document Center 11.00.0, but thecompatibility of Visma Business Regnskapsbyrå 11.00.0 and Visma Document Center 10.00.0 is not supported.

Dual login to VUD when using AOWith VUD login activated the user had to log in twice when Visma Single Sign-on was not activated. Now,the user only have to log in once.

User Access

Access to the button Parameter timesystemUsers that were not a member of user group 4 were not able to acces the parameter timesystem processingin companies that are not a member of company group 98 internal administration. This has been solved.

Access to the Parameter timesystem button in the company settings layoutAn user now needs to be part of user group 4 Ledelse in order to activate the Parameter Time systemsettings, in the company settings, in companies that are part of company group 98 Internadministrasjon.

Incorrect year in planning of annual tasksWhen planning yearly tasks the agreed delivery dat showed a incorrect year. This has been solved.

Accounting

Time registration

Accounting period accepts invalid inputPreviously it was allowed to enter an invalid period (for example 201600) in the Accounting period field inthe hour registration. This is no longer allowed. .

Technical

Set up

After uninstall of the program explorer opens to select a .msi fileAfter uninstallation of the system, Windows Explorer opened to select a msi file. This had no function and ithas been changed so that Windows explorer won't open anymore.

User DSN is not supportedIt was not possible to use an ODBC connection through User DSN before. This is now possible because ifthe server name is not found in the local machine registry key it now also search in current user registry key.

Logging

Consolidate logging functionality in common assemblyThe Logging functionality for Visma Business Regnskapsbyrå related projects is now consolidated into acommon library that provide the same logging functionality as all Visma Business product line projects.
