Year 1 Issue 3 : 14th November 2012 IHNACL Combat child labour - Call for child rights - a network of Indian partner organisations of Indienhilfe e.V.Herrsching, Germany News and Views IHNACL-YouthAction Group (YAG) YouthAction Group: This title doesn't carry any special meaning on mention of it but by forming Youth Action Groups, IHNACL tries to bring out some uniqueness in creating a sensible and proactive younger generation who could be distinguished from average mass. The age of these youth under YAG are highly restricted between 18-25 years and so when they will be out of scope of this project, it is expected that these people will not accept everything as destiny or just make passive flow of life without contributing in social and human development process of this large country. Human development in true sense is largely depending on human resource of the country so IHNACL in its small scope is creating a potential young human force in the society through certain exercises. These are groups expected to act as change agents in different areas of their own life, as first person to do what they have exercised under the project. It would be very optimistic result if after two years 60 potential youth leaders are available for the network in their operation who can make catalytic movements on issues like education and its infrastructure and over all citizen rights etc. Thoughtshop Foundation is one of the expert organization in field of peer group training and bringing up younger community leaders through planned exercises since last more than decade; IHNACL has requested and adopted them in network as one of the resource organization. - Sibani Chakraborty from coordinating desk of Indienhilfe Network Against Child Labour IHNACL-YouthAction Group (YAG) ÒüÚå= "¸àA Å> Nøç š l üšì¹¹ &Òü >à³[i ëƒìJ ë¤à‹ ÒÚ Jå¤ ® àìºà ë¤àc à ™àì¤ >à ë™ &¹ ³ì‹¸ >tå >â« ¤à [¤ìÅÈâ« ëA à=àÚ ë>i *ÚàA¢ [ÅÇ Åøì³¹ [¤¹ç ì‡ý Τ[ƒA [ƒìÚ Î³à\ìA ÎìW t > * ÎìW Ê A ì¹ ët àºà¹ \>¸ A à\ A ¹ìá---&Òü ƒºP [º ít ¹ã A ¹à &¹Òü "”zK¢t &A [i šøìW Ê à ú Jå¤Òü Îå[W [”zt ® àì¤ 18-25 ¤á¹ ¤Úìι ³ì‹¸ l ü;ÎàÒã * [Å[Û t t ¹ç o t ¹ç oã샹 [>ìÚ ë™ 6[i ë\ºàÚ ë>i *ÚàA ¢ A à\ A ¹ìá, ëÎÒü Τ ë\ºàÚ &A &A [i ƒº ít ¹ã ÒìÚìá ™à¹à Îå[>[ƒ¢Ê [A áå šø[ÅÛ o šàì¤ &¤} š¹¤[t¢ A àìº [>ì\샹 \ã¤ì> &A \> γà\ ÎìW t > ³à>åÈ [ÒìÎì¤ ™à A ¹oãÚ t à-Òü A ¹ì¤ ú & ëƒìŹ [ÅÛ à ¤¸¤Ñ‚àÚ * ">¸à>¸ >àK[¹A "[‹A ๠¹Û ๠\>¸ ÎìW Ê Òì¤ú ® àK¸ ¤à Kt à>åK[t A t ๠Òàìt [>ì\샹 \ã¤ì>¹ ¤à γàì\¹ ëÑ÷àt ìA ¤Òüìt ëƒì¤ >à, Î[k A [ƒìA ™àìt γàì\¹ ³èº ëÑ÷àt šø¤à[Òt ÒÚ ëÎÒü \>¸ ëáàj A ì¹ Òìº* [>ì\샹 "¤ƒà> ¹àJì¤-&A &A [i "oåQi ìA ¹ ³t ú =i Åš ó àl üì“ Å> &Òü ‹¹ì>¹ ™å¤ ƒº ít ¹ã, t à샹 šø[ÅÛ o [ƒìÚ t à샹 ³ì‹¸¹ ºåA ì>à Å[v û ¹ šøA àÅ A ì¹ W ìºìá> [¤Kt "ì>A ¤á¹ ‹ì¹Òü ú ...Indienhilfe &Òü Î}Ñ‚àÒü ë>i *ÚàA¢ ">¸t ³ [ÒÎàì¤ ÒüÚå= "¸àA Å> Nøç š ¤à ‘‘™å¤ƒº’’ P [ºìA ít ¹ã * šø[ÅÛ o &¹ A à\ A ¹ìá> ú -[Ťà>ã W yû ¤t¢ ã, ëA à-*[l¢ ì>[i } ël ÑH ë=ìA Indienhilfe Resource Organisation Indienhilfe Network Against Child Labour '' '' Vision Mission Objectives Members with us Resource Partners Operational Districts : : : : : : All forms of child labour to be viewed and acted as a socially banned behaviour at micro and macro level of Indian society Conscientisation on abolition of child labour among the network partners including sensitization and actions for “Combat Child Labour Call for Child Rights” Full time formal schooling of the children between 6-14 years. I come out and talk to my community people.Language problem is big problem for me but now I stronglyrecover it. During interaction with children mylanguage skill has increased. They have been friendly andhelped me sort out my own problem areas.

I can talk to people; motivate them to join us for this cause.Increase my confidence level that I can do something for mycommunity. Now I have a new skill of asking question. Now I can concentrate & am focused in any work.

At first I was unable to understand how I doing my work, nowafter 2nd camp my confidence level has gone up.I can work together with all of my group members. Now I challenge any issue.I have fear to talk to unknown people especially discussion onany topic with others. Now I find it possible.I have developed my listening skill.I am able to share all things with my friend's / group members. We all respect each other views, opinion.I still need to be more confident talking to high level officers. If any friend question's me about the benefits of being in thegroup then I can't understand how to deal with it.

Belief

group can look for possibilities of including girls and otherdiversities in group

: Group members are coming from different background and theynever express the sense of belongingness with the group

: Except 2 camps at Kolkata, group members never meet at theirplace

There is a big gap to communicate with in the group orsharing about their updates with TF team or IH team

·Want to see a child labour less society.·All the educate people get a job, no one will be unemployed.

·Group has seen the dream to make their society where no cast, colour, religiousrigidity.·All the members should have good nature and respects others.

Changes in attitudes, values; analyzing own strengths and weaknesses;building teamwork, leadership and communication skillsExcerpts collected during 2nd visit to group in September 2012.

Group meets about once a monthGroup members mobilize others in the community based on need and theirinterestGroup design and print their own Leaflet

“I have learnt to rejoice over even trivial things. It is important to rejoice. Ihave been able to change the attitude and thoughts of my parents. Myfather often used to say that I was unfit and nothing is possible by me. Butthis has not stopped me from bringing changes in my life. I have also beenable to improve my relationship with my parents.”“I would hit my students when angry but now I don't

I am able to manage my time now

“I have been able to control my anger. I never knew how to come out of it. Butby learning to know how to handle my feelings I have found ways ofdealing with it constructively

“I had always dreamt for myself. But now I feel I am dreaming for my society. If there are people like how we are thinking that all the YAGmembers are doing then this society would be a better place to live

My communication skills have increased and so are my listening skills.I am comfortable interacting with children in my communityMy confidence level has gone up many times through different interactionswithin our groups.
