Wednesday’s Weekly Word

The school day at Fonwood Early Childhood Center starts at 7:20 a.m. Students arriving AFTER 7:50 a.m. are considered TARDY. Early attendance is taken at 8:00 a.m. Parents/Guardians of students with excessive absences and tardies will be called in for a meeting with the principal.

Book Return- Parents please return books 7-14 days after you

have checked them out.

School Book Fair is THIS WEEK

October 23rd-27th

Stop on by after your conferences on Wednesday and

Thursday, or during the Fall Carnival and support the Book

Fair!

Perfect Attendance Incentive Students who have perfect attendance for the month of October will

receive Fall Carnival tickets.

Read for the Record

This year, Read for the Record was celebrated at

Fonwood on Thursday, October 19th. We helped

break the record in reading Quakers by Liz Wong.

The Harvey Relief Mobile Unit Houston food bank will be here this Thursday, October 26th from 3:00 PM-6:00 PM.

Please make sure your child’s vaccinations are current throughout the year. If you have any questions about your child’s vaccination record, feel free to call the school to speak to her.

costumes! Teachers will send more information

about book.

Parents, if you have changed your phone number or

address, we need to have it updated in our system. Please

stop by the front office so you can fill out our form to

update your information. This information must be kept

up to date.

Community Helpers Day On Wednesday, November 1st, Fonwood ECC will be celebrating Community Helpers Day to culminate our unit of study about people in the community. We would like to invite our parents and other family members and friends to come and talk to our students about what they do at their jobs. If you are still interested in participating in community helper’s day, contact the front office to give your information.

NO Lunch with Parents on October 27

Lunch with parents will NOT be allowed, this Friday, since we are hosting the

carnival. Lunch with parents will resume, Friday, November 3, 2017.

Tickets can be used for food and

games at the carnival.

Wristbands include unlimited games, 1 popcorn,
