Auckland have your say is
on now
What would you like Auckland Council to include in their 10-year plan? What matters to
you and your family? What would make living in Auckland the best place to be?
Some key ideas may involve accessible parking, for example establish more accessible
car parks, monitor their use and hold people to account who use them without the mobitliy
parking permit. More accessible toilet facilities and adult change spaces, accessible and
welcoming playgrounds?

Disability Law's community
survey
Auckland Disability Law (ADL) works with disabled people around their disability related
legal issues, and provide legal education and law reform work within the community.
The Ministry of Justice, our primary funder, is currently doing a Community Law Funding
Review of the 24 Community Law Centres (CLCs) in Aotearoa New Zealand. CLCs have
had a funding freeze for the last eight years. While ADL is now able to do some work
across Aotearoa New Zealand, our primary funding level has remained largely the same as
when we only worked in Auckland.
ADL believes there is a need for a properly resourced national disability legal service, and
that ADL should be adequately funded to do this role. ADL is keen to hear if you agree
with ADL’s position and what you would need from a national disability legal service going
forward.
