Drafting student Travis France had a once in a lifetime experience

on April 10th when he was named TCAT’s Outstanding Studnt of the Year

and recipient of a brand new car! He was one of nine regional finalists

from across the state who advanced to the statewide competition. Travis

received his award during the opening ceremony of the SkillsUSA Tennes-

see competition at Chattanooga’s McKenzie Arena.

As Outstanding Student o the Year, Travis will serve as an ambassador for the colleges of applied

technology and career technical education. He will visit with public officials, employers, students and po-

tential students to provide information about the TCATs and encourage support for them.

Each year the Outstanding Student of the Year is awarded a new car. Travis received a Nissan Versa

sponsored by Nissan North America, Action Nissan in Nashville, Amatrol, Reletch and the TCAT directors.

Travis is also Tennessee president of SkillsUSA, a nationwide partnership of students, teachers and

industry working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. All of the faculty and staff at TCAT

Morristown and across the entire TCAT system are incredibly proud of Travis and the way he has represent-

ed our school.

Niswonger Performing Arts Center Announces 2017-2018 Season

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. – Now entering its thirteenth season, the Niswonger Performing Arts Center (NPAC) invites new and returning guests to “Experience the Arts” with another lineup of great entertain-ment featuring 32 performances for the 2017-2018 Season. From classic rock to theatrical productions, country and contemporary Christian, NPAC will once again bring some of the top names in entertainment to Greeneville, TN. “Regardless of what kind of performances you enjoy, you can “Experience the Arts” this season at NPAC,” said Vicki Hudson, executive director of NPAC. “Our 2017-2018 Season is filled with headliners and features something for everyone. We are grateful for the continuing support of our patrons and for the financial support from our individual and corporate partners and grantors who assist us in achieving our goal of providing exceptional programming and performing arts education within our region,” said Hudson. “The generosity and financial support from our donors for the programming at NPAC, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, is invaluable to our success.” Tickets for the entire 2017-2018 Season go on sale July 6th at 10:00 AM. NPAC offers a varie-ty of ticketing options including individual tickets, season ticket packages, a pick 5 or more bundle which includes a 10% discount, and a group discount for groups of 20 or more. The Niswonger Performing Arts Center is an 1150 seat re-gional performing arts center lo-cated in historic downtown Green-eville, TN, adjacent to Greeneville High School. Tickets may be pur-chased online at www.npacgreeneville.com, in per-son at the NPAC box office, or by calling 423-638-1679.
