Program The Treblemakers from Chandler High School paid their annual visit to Chandler Horizon Ro- tary where they entertained us with songs of the season. Lori Lyford, their leader, told us about the all-female singing group that held their Christmas concert the previous evening. She told us the group is a traditional barbershop harmony group, but they also branch into various styles of music, including jazz and light rock. They kicked things off with “Silver Bells” followed by “Jingle Bell Rock.” And then “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town.” They added a new song this year in “Happy Hanukkah,” honoring the Jewish faith. That was followed by “The Secret of Christmas,” which put the meaning of Christmas into perspective. Then came “I’ll Be Home for Christmas.” Lori told us the Treblemakers won their division in the mid-winter competition last year in Costa Mesa, California. They sent a video to Seattle for the Youth Video Competition and they won that. They are planning to go to this year’s mid-winter competition in Nashville. They closed the program with “Winter Won- derland,” which bogged down but was revived into “Zona Wonderland.” As always, it was a very entertaining program by some extremely talented youngsters. We thank Lori and the girls and look forward to next year. President Tiffany Jones presented a $200 check to the Treblemakers to help them with their expenses and a bouquet of flowers to Lori for her continued dedication to the group. Thought for the Day This Christmas give the gift of peace: add a little Prozac to the cookies.

by Rigatony’s, but several members brought either an appetizer or des-sert. There was no gift exchange this year. Instead, those attending brought boys or girls clothing for The Clothes Cabin, or a blanket or sleeping bag to be donated to the Aris Foundation. A total of 28 sleeping bags was collected. President Tif-fany and Emmett Jones presented a gift to each member. It was another enjoyable evening in a beautiful setting. Thanks to Bill and Sharon for hosting once again.

President Tiffany Jones watches as hubby Emmett prepares to hand out gifts to CHRC members.
