I believe success is a matter of 'hard work' and 'being at the right place at the right time' and that is exactly what has helped me get into a company that I have always admired - Fidelity International. I have always liked the investment banking business as a whole from my boyhood and Fidelity International is one of the biggest names in it, worldwide. In my school days I read a lot of financial books ranging from Philip Fisher to Benjamin Graham and one of my favorite authors Peter Lynch, who is one of the most respected authors in the value investing genre. Incidentally, he was the Fund Manager of Fidelity Investments during his historically successful run in mutual funds. It had become my dream company.

Fast forward eight years, with the help of NCU I have achieved a rather latent dream of getting into this organization. I feel immensely blessed by God! I thank my University, SPA, my ever-supportive teachers and mainly my loving parents who have all contributed greatly in this success of mine. As I said earlier, being at the right place at the right time can make a huge difference in your life and my right place has been The Northcap University!

Vice-Chancellor, Prof. HB Raghavendra attended a conference on ‘Developing World Class Universities in India: Role of

Data Benchmarking’ organized by the International Institute for Higher Education Research and Capacity Building (IIHEd)

and Times Higher Education (THE) in association with OP Jindal Global University, Sonipat on 2 May 2018 at India Habitat

Centre, New Delhi. The conference was attended by Vice-Chancellors of elite institutions and policy makers who debated

about different parameters for ranking of world class universities by different agencies. Prof. NV Varghese, VC, National

Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA), New Delhi highlighted that higher education parameters

encompass societal and social issues and skill development. These rankings always trigger competition among the elite

only. Ranking is now a symbol of prestige and quality.

Mr Kavit Yagnik, Research Solution Manager, Elsevier/Scopus pointed out that out of a total about 22,000 universities in the

world only 2300 universities are participating in Elsevier publications and US, UK and Japan have the best publications. He

also stated that 25 million students, internationally, go to other countries for education. He focused on helping students and

faculty to enhance research excellence.
