Thirty Fifth News Letter of our college is
released.
Pongal Festival was celebrated on
11.01.2019
67th Republic Day was celebrated on
26.01.2019
37th Graduation Day was celebrated on
22.03.2019 Dr. N.Rajendran, Hon’ble Vice
Chancellor of Alagappa University, Karaikudi
was the Chief Guest.
A total number of 624 students have
graduated this year. 501 UG, 90 PG, 28 M.Phil
students and 05 Ph.D scholars have received
their degrees.

43rd College Day was celebrated on
23.03.2019 Thiru.R. Padmanabhan, B.Sc.,B.L.,
Hon’ble District and Sessions Judge,
Nagapattinam was the Chief Guest. Founder
President Thiru.A.D.Jeyem Pandian, Vice-
President, Thiru.N.Kathiresan Prabhu,
Secretary, Dr.A.D.Jegadheeswar, Madam
Prema Jeyem Pandian graced the function with
their presence.
18 of our students have secured
University Ranks during the academic year
2017-2018. UGC has identified our college as a
potential “Mentor Institution” to help the
NAAC aspiring institutions from this academic
year 2019.
Two B.Voc., Programmes namely
Marine Food Processing, Preservation
Technology & Software Development in
Multimedia and Animation were introduced
this year.
Two certificate courses “E-Banking”
and “Disaster Management” were offered by
the Department of Commerce and one
certificate course “Basics of Economics”
offered by the Department of Economics for the
final year students of B.Com, B.B.A & B.A.,
Economics.
Tamil Nadu State Council for Science
and Technology sponsored a five days ASTRA
(Application of Science and Technology for
Rural Areas) programme was organised by our
college from 04.02.2019 to 08.02.2019 create
awareness among the rural people about the
uses of Science & Technology.
