Holy Trinity has a new website!! We’re very pleased to let you know that we now have a new web-

site with a more modern, vibrant, colourful and user friendly look

that reflects our church in all its aspects. It’s still a “work in pro-

gress” with new input still to be included which will be an ongoing

and evolving activity. Do take a look at this on

www.holytrinitycoventry.org.uk .

BBC The One Show Needs You!! Are you one of the children who, in 1962, do-

nated your pocket money towards the Chil-

dren’s Window at Coventry Cathedral? Or

were you involved in the building of the New

Cathedral all those years ago?

The BBC are filming a piece at Coventry Ca-

thedral on Sunday 8th March 2020 and

would love you to come along with your fami-

ly members from approximately 12 noon until

3pm.

For more details please contact Mark Lewis

on [email protected] or on 0303 082

Reading the Bible in Services.

It's a while since we ran a refresher training session for those of us who read the Bible in church. This has been arranged for Sunday March 15th immediately after the 11.00 service and is open to cur-

rent readers and anyone new to this that we can encourage to take part. This is open to members of all congregations.

Funeral—Arlene Wood Following the very sad news of Arlene’s recent passing, we can now let you know that her will take place on Monday 16th March at 12 noon at Holy Trinity followed by committal at Canley Crema-torium at 1pm.

Still Recruiting!!

Messy Church is Holy Trinity’s successful outreach to families unfa-

miliar with church. We run six times each year - and we can’t do it

without you! Longstanding team members are retiring, so we’re

looking for willing, committed people to take their places. We

have vacancies in two teams - ‘Messy Muscle’ and ‘Messy Meals’:

Messy Muscle has two shifts. From 1:00-2:30pm, its members

set up tables, chairs and whatever else is needed. Then from

5:30-7:00pm, they clear up, sweep up in the church building,

help wash up and put things away in the kitchen. You could join

one or both shifts.

Messy Meals works between about 2:00 and 6:00pm, preparing

and serving food under the direction of the catering manager.

These are opportunities to serve God as part of a friendly team,

doing something worthwhile that always blesses our guests.

The dates are fixed well in advance to help teams plan. If you’d

like to try it out to see if it’s for you, then that would be great. If

you’re interested in joining us or would like to know more, please

Thank you.

Christian Resources Exhibition—March 2020 The Christian Resources Exhibition is a national event coming to

the NAEC at Stoneleigh Park daytime Tuesday 4 and Wednesday 5

March. It is a 'one-stop shop' for church resources, ideas and mis-

sion, with over 120 exhibitors and over and over 30 seminars - and

is on our doorstep! See its website for more info, or speak to Chris

Aston. Christmas Angels

Do you like knitting or crocheting? Do you want to bless Coventry?

Can we talk about Christmas?

First of all – an apology for mentioning Christmas in March! But don’t let that put you off… please read on....

Christmas Angels are an exciting and creative way to bless the people around Holy Trinity Coventry. A few of us heard about this project that knits or crochets hun-dreds of angels, adds labels with a message and then hides them for people to find. We would like to do this in December this year and use it to pray for our local community, as well as lead us into the special year that is 2021, City of Culture. There will be lots more details to follow but if you like knitting, cro-

cheting or can help design and make labels, then please talk to

me. Also we want people to pray for this project and someone to

help with social media. If you have any questions or want any more

information please talk to Alison Aston from the 9.30am congrega-

tion ([email protected]) or Judy Anderson.
