WOMEN’S WALK
Our next outing will be on July 22, starting at 9.15 in the church car park. We will take the cars to Broadbottom and park at Lymefield Visitor Centre, SK14 6AG, and from there walk along the river Etherow and then gently up through woods to reach the cenotaph at Werneth Low. After our packed lunch we will descend through more woodland back to Lymefield, where we can stop for tea if we want. Please contact me to say if you are coming, [email protected], 0161 445 4263.

"jams, marmalade, chutneys and crumbles will be on sale on
St J/E stall at the Parsonage Garden Party on Sunday 16th July
between 11am and 4pm. Also local history books, maps and
cards.
Hilary and Diana urgently need helpers to work on the stall selling
goods and serving teas and coffees to visitors. If you can help
please contact us."

We are having a luxury coach trip to Llangollen in mid-Wales! The day will include a boat trip over the spectacular Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, a picnic lunch (bring your own), a visit to Eliseg’s Pillar and a guided tour and communion service at the Cistercian Valle Crucis Abbey. Our expert guide will again be Sian Rees (Geryl Whitaker’s sister), an authority on Welsh history and archaeology.
