News Update 23.11.18
Our woodland room is our haven for children to go and enjoy support from our fabulous pastoral team or when
they need someone to talk to.
With this in mind, we like to ensure that our environment is always fit for purpose so we are renovating the
Woodland room over the Christmas period, so watch out for some changes to this fabulous space.

PARENTS—NSPCC E-SAFETY workshop
On Friday the 30th of November WBJS are pleased to offer an
E –Safety parent workshop in partnership with NSPCC. This is part of
the NSPCC 'Speak out. Stay safe' week that we are holding in school.
The workshop is an hour-long session to help parents and carers
keep their family safe online. This is the perfect opportunity to ask
the experts a question or get support and advice about keeping your
children safe online. They can help you set up parental controls, or
teach you how to make a phone/tablet safe for your child.
We hope to see you at the workshop on Friday 30th November at
2pm. Please confirm your attendance at the school office and secure
your place on this free workshop.

This week’s Reading totals
Well done to all those reader once again for making sure your 3 reads are in! This week we have 8 classes
who have achieved 100% - so well done! It’s great to see that so many classes have well over 80% of chil-
dren reading at least 3 times. We did not manage to get a full year group with 100% but there’s always
next week. Keep going!
Barnett Place roundabout
It has been brought to our attention that
some people are not taking care whilst going
round the roundabout just outside of school.
When collecting children. This area does get
congested easily and we ask that you are
mindful as children are leaving school. No
one should be parked on the Zigs zags. Thank
you.
Sporting update
This week, school has attended two separate sports com-
petitions. First, on Wednesday, eleven children attended a
badminton tournament at Wintringham. Out of ten teams,
Barcroft A finished 5th and Barcroft B finished 6th. The two
teams even had to play each other at one point! A special
mention should go to Zak in year 6, who won an 'Endeavor
Award' at the tournament for amazing effort.
Then, on Thursday, four year six girls competed at the re-
gional table tennis finals in Hull - following their success at
the NE Lincolnshire event last month. The girls represented
the school outstandingly, finishing 6th in the entire county!
