Sports News
Last Wednesday 27 students from St Joseph’s competed at the Deanery City/Country Swimming Carnival. The students were excellent ambassadors for our school and displayed great sportsmanship, support for each other and a wonderful team spirit. I was immensely proud of the way the students gave their best effort in all races and also the way they conducted themselves throughout the day. Thank you to parents, carers and friends who came down to support the children and a special thanks to Maryanne Bradshaw, Dee Stenhouse, Karen Stephens and Louise Cabot who filled helper roles on the day. It was very much appreciated!
Extend OSHC at St Joseph’s Primary School Fortnightly recap This fortnight the children have been busy building train tracks and adding other construction items like lego, connecter blocks and wooden blocks to make house’s for the finger puppets. The have also been adding fences and other buildings to make their tracks more exciting.
A big hit this fortnight with the craft station was being able to have access to it throughout the afternoon and using their imagination to create wonder art items.
Some of the items made included a peg family, robots, boats, pterodactyls, lady bugs and many more.
