Numerous students have experienced tremendous musical success and have received awards because of their participation in our “Lesson Night” program. A substantial portion of the strength of our MS and HS concert bands, jazz bands and marching band is due to the number of students who take weekly private lessons. By Tuesday (Aug. 22), all band students and their families will receive a private lesson sign-up letter in their home mailbox. We encourage everyone to consider taking private lessons this year. Generally speaking, private lessons are best suited for the student seeking more advanced musical experiences and challenges, or for the struggling student seeking help in developing their skills. Private lesson teachers this year include: Mr. Boyer (woodwinds); Mr. Daning (percussion); Mr. Kubly (trumpet, trombone, baritone/euphonium and tuba); and Mr. Ausban (French horn). Deadline to enter in the “Lesson Night” program is this Friday, August 25. Entry forms should be submitted to Mr. Boyer or Mr. Daning. Thank you to all the parents who are working so hard to help the SOTL produce our competitive fall marching band show. Without you, our show wouldn’t be possible. Mark your calendars for our first contest of the season - Saturday, September 9, @ Lafayette Jeerson HS. Thank You!

Private Lesson Sign-Up!

Mark your calendars for our first contest of the season - Saturday, September 9, @ Lafayette Jefferson HS.

Thank You!
