Quote of the week
“Do important things NOW
Before they become URGENT”
Principal’s report...
Week 4 is upon us and we already have some significant achievements reached by our students. Last week we enjoyed a wonderful swimming carnival organised by Mr Wilson and his team. A big congratulations to the age champions: Juveniles Sarah Temple & Oscar Spora, Junior Champions Sarah Schier & Jacob Wilson, and Senior Champions Caitlin Carlow & Kyle Welsh. Last week our teaching staff had their first team meetings. We have developed four (4) teams this year for staff to contribute to as their way of enriching our school learning culture. The teams are Gifted and Talented (led by Miss O’Sullivan), Sport and Enrichment (led by Mr Wilson), Aboriginal Education (led by Ms Naden) and Creative and Performing Arts (led by Mrs Reed). I am looking forward to the opportunities these teams will bring to the students and the different ways they can advance and affirm our school’s reputation as a leading high school in the Central West. This week is also a week of commemoration. On Tuesday afternoon our
school community said farewell to long time member of staff, Mrs Judy
Harvey. Superlatives do not do her work ethic and commitment to our
school justice - Judy, we thank you for your service and contribution to our
school across generations and for the joy and friendship your brought to
our school. You will be missed.

Visiting WAR FM are Brielle Reid, Jacob Wilson and Mr Reed.

procedures on communication with parents

We are asking that all parents and community
members use this way of contacting us in the
future. This will make sure that messages are
given to the right person on the day. Please
refrain from contacting staff members via their
personal phones or emails.

From the Careers Desk The transition from school to the adult world can be difficult to navigate and has been described as one of the most stressful times in a person’s life. Supporting your children at this time can help make that move smoother. I get a lot of information over my desk that is relevant to students and their parents and I have begun a newsletter that I email to all students in Years 10, 11 and 12. I am inviting parents to be included. If you would like to receive a Careers Newsletter please email a request to me at the address below. Together we can empower your children to make informed decisions about their future. Heather Frewin [email protected]
