Senior Corner- Just a few reminders…

Cap and gowns are only $35.00 until March 22nd. After that they go up to $40.00- Pay

Ms. Sue or Mrs. Kotlark. Senior’s baby/toddler pictures for the Senior Slideshow are due no later than the end of January. Please bring one or two pictures to the High

School Office and ask for Mrs. Yorks, she will scan them and immediately give them back to you. Students or parents can do this, or you can email them to her at [email protected].

Staff Change- We would like to apologize that we have been unable to get a Parent Newsletter out given the snow/ice/cold days. We would like to take this opportunity to inform you about some changes in staffing at the Academy. Unfortunately one of our teachers, Mrs. Rawling (K-5 PE teacher) made the decision just before the holiday break to leave us in pursuit of other opportunities. We are pleased to announce that Mr. Yiannatji will be joining us as our new PE teacher for Lower School. Mr. Yiannatji has worked at IAF in the past as a substitute and coach. We are confident that he will do a wonderful job as in his new role and are excited to have him on board. Since this departure happened just prior to the break you may have already heard your student discussing this transition. Change can sometimes be difficult, so we encourage you to talk to your student about his or her new teacher and the positive changes that he or she will be experiencing in the coming days. We appreciate your patience during this transition and your communication with the school. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call the school at (810) 600-5000.

Dismissal Questions- With the closure of the Lower School Office, we have had a few questions regarding dismissal at 3:30. The dismissal locations have not changed. So where ever your student came out at 3:30 prior to the office closing is still where they will come out now. You will only have to come to the High School Office if you need to pick up your student early. Please also remember that after 3:15, we will ask you to please wait until the 3:30 bell.
