Wyalong Public School Future Focused, Resilient & InnovativeNewsletter 30th June 2020 Ge or I would like to extend a massive Thank Youto our amazing helpers on Friday who sorted, packed and delivered a record number of pies and lamingtons to our local community. You all did a fabulous job! Thank you once again to everyone who ordered and supported our small school, it is greatly appreciated. The caramel slice orders will be delivered this Friday. We are excited to announce our school will be partaking in a Grammar action research project being run by Charles Sturt University. It will be looking at how grammar is taught in Australian schools and will provide our teachers with an opportunity to receive professional learning and engage with other schools to improve their practice. This will commence early Term 3 and into Term 4. Just a reminder we will run our annual school cross country on Friday at Redman oval. Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, this is a closed school event. Plenty of photos will be taken throughout the event and uploaded to Facebook. Following the races, we will have a free sausage sizzle lunch for our students and enjoy a cake to celebrate our Kindergartens first 100 days of school and what a 100 days of school that has been! As I sit back and reflect on this term, I would like to congratulate our staff and students for being resilient, adaptable and positive during this Covid-19 experience. As challenging and worrying this experience has been, I am incredibly proud of how as a school community we transitioned through this time. Moving forwards, we will continue to meet the needs of all students at Wyalong Public School. Finally, I want to wish our families all a safe, healthy and relaxing holiday break. School will resume for students on Tuesday the 21t July. Have a great week! Mrs Lacey Pettit Acting Principal

Ge

or

I would like to extend a massive ‘Thank You’ to our amazing helpers on Friday who

sorted, packed and delivered a record number of pies and lamingtons to our local

community. You all did a fabulous job! Thank you once again to everyone who ordered

and supported our small school, it is greatly appreciated.

The caramel slice orders will be delivered this Friday.

We are excited to announce our school will be partaking in a Grammar action research

project being run by Charles Sturt University. It will be looking at how grammar is taught in

Australian schools and will provide our teachers with an opportunity to receive

professional learning and engage with other schools to improve their practice.

This will commence early Term 3 and into Term 4.

Just a reminder we will run our annual school cross country on Friday at Redman oval.

Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, this is a closed school event. Plenty of photos will be

taken throughout the event and uploaded to Facebook.

Following the races, we will have a free sausage sizzle lunch for our students and enjoy

a cake to celebrate our Kindergarten’s first 100 days of school and what a 100 days of

school that has been!

As I sit back and reflect on this term, I would like to congratulate our staff and students for

being resilient, adaptable and positive during this Covid-19 experience.

As challenging and worrying this experience has been, I am incredibly proud of how as a

school community we transitioned through this time. Moving forwards, we will continue to

meet the needs of all students at Wyalong Public School.

Finally, I want to wish our families all a safe, healthy and relaxing holiday break.

School will resume for students on Tuesday the 21t July.

Have a great week!
