Celebrating Sisterhood! by Pamela, 1st VP

It is certainly a time of

celebration for Beta Delta! In March,

the annual coming together of Area

10 sisters was a huge success - I, forone, laughed and communed with

new and old friends more than ever

(not to forget the bacon!!!). We were

all mesmerized by Rubina , speakingto us about women empowering

women and her own history of

battling discrimination and illtreatment as she became an education

woman in Pakistan. A reminder of

how much we have and how strong

women are! Also, of course, chapter and

area awards were presented to our

    incredible members. Dolores was

honored for 35 years of service!Always a highlight is the raffle of

    opportunity baskets...Beta Delta was

represented by two baskets with a

    wine and chocolate theme, so

    beautifully created by Sandi Hadder.

    (Spoiler alert: looking forward, wait

till you hear about the speaker for

    our October joint breakfast!)

On April 1, we will meet at The

    Landings restaurant for an evening

of honor, as we will welcome ournew members Xye, Andrea, Suzy,

Cathy, and Joyce as well as our

transfer member, Shirley. The eventwill also be a farewell to beloved

members who have passed away in

    the last two years.

So - we will celebrate - wewill celebrate with laughter and

tears! Monday, April 1 at 5pm.
