Role models to Lead !

The School Academic Session commenced with the celebration of I nvestiture Ceremony on 12th Apr il 2017. The excitement and enthusiasm was a contagious one for al l those who had gathered. The Student Council was conferred with the responsibil it ies and duties in the form of badges and sashes. The solemn oath was administered by the Pr incipal Smt.P.Usha Sr i. The School Director Sr i.B.Suresh congratulated the council members and wished them good luck. Senior Pr incipal Smt.Lakshmi Viswanathan applauded the commitment of the student council members. I n her address, Pr incipal Smt.P.Usha Sr i encouraged the students to have posit ive outlook towards al l aspects of l ife and work for success.Head boy Arhit Bose Tagore and Head gir l O.Vinuthna spoke on behalf of the prefect council. They promised to adhere to the guidelines of the school in pursuit of excellence. The Choir rendered melodious inspirational songs to suit the occasion. The stage was set with devotion, dedication, desire and determination? ? ..for the future .

HERITAGE DAY

Wit h t he sum m er in and t he days get t ing hot t er and hot t er t here was a need t o beat t he heat w it h a convivial at m osphere. St udent s learned t he m echanism of beat ing t he heat w it h f ru it salads and lem onades which help hydrat e t heir bodies dur ing t he hot sum -m er . They relished t he salads and lem onades prepared by t hem selves in t he class and shared t heir exper ience of doing it t oget her . Pr im ary classes brought t he salads f rom hom e whereas grades VI and VII prepared lem onades in t he class w it h t he help of t he t eachers. Grade VIII t o X had an assem bly present at ion on t he t ips t o beat t he sum m er heat . They cam e out w it h helpful t echniques t o face t he challenging heat w it h com for t and ease.

1.        Do not get up lat e. Wake up at t he regular t im e and play an out door gam e t hat int erest s you.

2.        Read Newspapers t o keep yourself updat ed.

3.        Spend som e t im e w it h grandparent s as t hey are t he t reasure houses of wor ldly exper ience.

4.        Pickup f ive new words a day and learn how t o use t hem .

5.        Don?t eat junk food. Eat all t he f ru it s t hat are available in t he season.

6.        Read Books t hat enr ich your vocabulary, language and develops your personalit y.

7.        Help your parent s in t heir daily rout ine at least for half an hour each.

8.      Don?t wast e your t im e playing video gam es and using sm ar t phones. Met iculously use it in playing indoor gam es l ike scrabble, Chess, Chinese checkers

World Her itage day was celebrated on 18th Apr il 2017 with great enthusiasm. The students of Her itage club presented a role play in the assembly .

World her itage is a wonderful reminder of our r ich past. I t is our duty to protect the her itage and offer it to the coming generations. I n this context each one of them took a theme of her itage sites and monuments l ike Charminar , Tajmahal, Qutubminar etc and spoke about their history and existence.

Finally, al l the students took an oath to protect and conserve the monuments and emphasized other students to visit the her itage sites of I ncredible I ndia.
