November - December
2018
This new activity is offered to the staff of the health and social services center of Lanaudière. (CISSSL)
The project is carried out by ECOL, in collaboration with the CISSSL. Our
team of volunteer facilitators from the English-speaking community of
Lanaudière provide support to participants so that they may strengthen
their English skills and increase their confidence in English conversation.
We greatly appreciate the dedication of our ECOL members who have
come aboard the project and are giving their time as facilitators.
This targeted community action will
help meet the need of the English-
speaking community of the region to
receive health services in their
language. There is a lot of interest for
the activity and many people signed
up. Currently, four discussion groups
are taking place in the region: De Lanaudière Hospital in Joliette, Pierre
Le Gardeur Hospital in Terrebonne and the CLSC of Chertsey.
