PRINCIPAL’S REPORT
Our Program and Student Review (PSR) meetings will be
held next Thursday, 23rd
March, commencing at 2.00 pm. I
encourage all families to confirm an interview time with your
child’s pastoral homeroom teacher.
These PSR meetings are central to the evaluation of student progress and the future
planning of programs to suit student needs. Attendance at these interviews
enhances the collaboration between parents and staff. This partnership is an
essential ingredient in the success of students at Emerson School.
Classes will finish at 1.45pm (Middle School) and 2.00pm (Jnr/Snr School) on PSR
day. Please expect Ventura buses to arrive one hour earlier in the afternoon on
Thursday, 23rd
March, 2017.

Value of the Fortnight
We will be studying the value, Forgiveness, for the next 2 weeks.
Our recent studies on the value, RESPECT, have taught us that we are all responsible for our own behaviour.
Sometimes we make a mistake and choose to do the wrong thing. If we are genuinely sorry for what we have done,
and we forgive ourselves, then the situation or mistake can be a valuable learning experience.
To show forgiveness to others takes courage and patience. Often we feel angry or sad when someone does the
wrong thing by us. It is easy to want to get even and want revenge. People who show forgiveness are able to allow
these people to have opportunity to learn from their mistake. They have the power to help others become better
people. Forgiveness allows everyone to move forward.
