The theme this year is ‘Mischief Makers’; a celebration of the Beano’s 80th birthday! The Summer Reading Challenge is aimed at 4 –11 year olds, it is simple and fun! Children sign up at their local library; they will then need to visit the library 3 times during the summer holidays, take out 2 books each visit to the library and read six books over the summer. Volunteers will be registering children and taking notes on how many books are taken out each visit; they will also be giving out some fantastic incentives and stickers along the way!

If anyone aged 13 years old or over would like to volunteer for the Summer Reading Challenge, please email Debbie at: [email protected]

The Challenge runs from 14th July until 9th September
