Fundraising Committee Our Fundraising Committee has organised a party plan night on Friday 29th March at the Boolarra Football Club Rooms from 7.00pm to 9.00pm to raise funds for our playground.

F/1–– Violet – For aspiring to do your best in writing and achieving your literacy goal.

2/3/4H - Toby– Congratulations Toby on a wonderful week of learning. I was very impressed when reading your recount and was delighted to see you using your plan to assist you. Well done.

4/5/6TS – Isabella – For showing our school values of Responsibility. She has taken on the responsibility of challenging herself further in maths. When given choices she has begun to choose work that may not be easy. An example of this was when she chose to work with numbers in the millions.

Previewing Learning Grade F/1W – The Foundation and One students are focusing on mastering their literacy goals. Each child has their own goal that forms their focus when they are completing a writing activity. Some goals have a secretarial emphasis, such as writing letters correctly whilst others are authorial and concentrate on sounding out words or including punctuation. In maths, the students will be looking at 3D shapes, learning names and attributes.

Grade 2/3/4H – This week in 2/3/4, we are looking at making connections with our reading. When students are reading at home please encourage them to make connections between the story and their lives.

Grade 4/5/6TS – Next week in maths we are continuing to look at measurement and its connection to the decimal system. We will be flying paper planes, comparing distances flown, graphing, measuring length and converting measurements from metres to centimetres and vice versa.

It would be really helpful if students could make their planes at home ready for maths on Wednesday. I’m sure there are some paper plane making experts amongst parents . Thanks again to those parents who have been ensuring their child completes their spelling homework and brings in their diaries on Fridays. Your support is appreciated.
