Childrens Party onGuru Nanaks Birthday
What can be more beautiful and sacred than celebrating Gurujis birthdaywith children...Children who are known as Rab da Roop.
All these activities in the form of quizzes, jigsaw puzzles, slide shows etc
aimed at the kids learning about the
life and teachings of Guru Nanak
Dev Ji.
The finale as usual was Simran,
recited beautifully to thank God for
all his blessings, thank parents and
the organizers. The treat that fol-
lowed was Chole Bhature , cakes, french-fries, pizza, and Milo. Keeping the
values of our Community and religion alive and flourishing can be achieved
only if the generations to come understand its importance. The efforts made by the Gurdwara is worthy of
appreciation. I am quite sure the children actually look forward to these parties and so do the parents in the hope
of being able to connect their children to their roots. By Anupreet Anand

Book of the MonthRitualism and Its
Rejection In SikhismBy Surindar Singh Kohli
This Book is a valuable critique on the anti-ritualistic
premises of Sikhism. The author profusely quotes
from the original text of Guru Granth Sahib. He also
warns about the Brahmanic rituals creeping in the
present Sikh practice and helps the reader to iden-
tify the true path shown by the Great Gurus.
