Newsletter January 2020
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Happy New Year! After a restful and joyous two weeks, we return together and
welcome the New Year and the new decade. I pray that you all had a very special
Christmas season with your loved ones and that all of your hope and anticipation during
the Advent season ended with great and fulfilling rejoice.
We ended our month of December with great celebrations led by our students at
the Christmas Performance, our fourth grade Pageant, sixth grade Jesse Tree, and car-
oling. With support from each one of you from our pie fundraiser, we raised over $225
for supplies for our art program. The children will be able to continue creating such
masterful pieces that make our hallways beautiful.
I would like to highlight a few important events to keep in mind as you are plan-
ning your busy schedules. Catholic Schools Week runs from January 26 through Janu-
ary 31. As a special thank you to our parents, we welcome you to join us for a special cof-
fee, tea, and pastry breakfast at drop off on Tuesday morning, January 28. Please refer
to the newsletter for the full list of events. Our Home and School Association is already
busy with their next 3 big events for the second half of the school year. They will begin
the Annual Coin Drive on February 3, so start checking the couch for loose change! HSA
will also be hosting a Wine and Cheese night on March 24 and our Casino Night Silent
Auction on April 24. These are both adult only events where babysitting is provided!
Plan a date night, a girls/guys night, or just a “treating yourself” night at both of these
great events. More information will be provided as the dates grow closer.
We wish the best of luck to our Middle School students who will be completing
their midterms this month and our eighth graders who will soon be receiving their high
school acceptances and making their big decision. We know God is with every one of
them. I pray you feel that God is with each one of you during 2020 and I look forward to
spending it with our Holy Redeemer community.
Lastly, we welcome back our dear principal, Mrs. Fernandez, from her maternity
leave this month and I will be returning as your Vice Principal. It has been a pleasure
and I am grateful to Ms. Crawford for her leadership during these last several months
in my place. Moving forward we have an even stronger Administrative team, ready to
serve the community in God’s name.
God’s Blessings,
Mrs. Brianna R. Alaimo
