GOC VISIT AT APS MATHURA CANTT

It is our proud moment at Army Public

School Mathura to extend a warm welcome

to Lt. Gen. Manoj Katiyar, AVSM, Senior

Patron in the school on 6th and 7th July,

2021. Gen. Katiyar was formally welcomed

by the Principal and the Chairman of the

school. The Principal, Dr. Ramma Mattoo

elaborated upon the school, achievements

and infrastructure through a presentation.

APS MATHURA CELEBRATED ITS 38th

RAISING DAY

To mark the significance of the day, We

celebrated 38th Raising day of our School on

23rd July, 2021. A Special assembly was

conducted by the students of Rani Lakshmi

Bai House wherein Priya of Class XII

elaborated on the inception and

achievements of the institution till date.

COS VISIT AT APS MATHURA ON 29th

JULY,2021

Maj. Gen. Anand Saxena resumed his duty

in Mathura as the COS and Patron of APS

Mathura Cantt. We were honored by the

benign presence of Maj. Gen. Patanjali

Rahul, the present Patron of APS Mathura

and the designated Patron of APS Mathura,

Maj. Gen. Anand Saxena on 29th July,2021.

All the dignitaries visited the school wherein

the Principal, Dr. Ramma Mattoo made

them familiar with the school premises and

infrastructure of the institution.

VISIT OF THE CHAIRMAN, APS MATHURA

Brig. PS Sidhu resumed his duty in Mathura

as the Chairman of APS Mathura Cantt and

visited the school on 16th August, 2021.

Brig. PS Sidhu was formally welcomed by

the Principal, Dr. Ramma Mattoo . The

Principal gave a comprehensive briefing to

the Chairman on School achievements,

infrastructure, action taken to implement

COVID-19 protocol in the school and made

him familiar with the School premises

including library and the labs.

75 YEARS OF INDEPENDENCE-AZADI KA

AMRIT MAHOTSAV

APS Mathura celebrated 15th August with a

patriotic vigor and zeal. The Principal, APS

Mathura, Dr Ramma Mattoo was the Chief

Guest of the Program. She was formally

welcomed by Mr Gopal Chand Sharma and

Ms. Ritu Saxena. The celebration was

commenced with hoisting of the National

flag by the Principal. With that the National

Anthem was sung by all.

On this special occasion, one of our

talented students, Shatakshi Singh of class

III was felicitated with a medal and a cash

prize of Rs. 1700 for securing overall II

position in Silverzone Informatics Olympiad

Exam held in the year 2020.

22nd KARGIL VIJAY DIWAS CELEBRATION

AT APS MATHURA

With heartfelt appreciation, Kargil Victory

Day was celebrated at APS Mathura on 26

July, 2021. A special assembly was

conducted by the students of Hoshiyar

House to pay homage to the martyrs of

Indian Army.

GRANDPARENTS’ DAY CELEBRATIONS

The Principal addressed the students and

proclaimed the importance of having their

presence even in the virtual classes which

the school is conducting for the students.

The immense support and love received

from the parents and grandparents even in

these troubled times has helped the school

move headway focusing on all the

scholastic and co-scholastic areas without

facing any hindrance in the student’s

learning. She motivated all the students to

respect and obey their grandparents.

Teacher’s Day Celebration-2021

We celebrated this special occasion through

fun filled music and dance performances.

To make the day memorable, a special

Documentary was released by our

Respected Principal, Dr. Ramma Mattoo

depicting the pain and labour of unsung

corona warriors i.e. TEACHERS.

POT DECORATION COMPETITION

To enhance the creative and imaginative

skills of children, ‘the pot decoration

competition’ was conducted virtually for

the children of classes VI-VIII on 16th

July,2021. The concepts, creativity and

ideas used by the students was

commendable and admirable.

This competition filled the atmosphere with

the spirit of mirth, happiness and love!!,

where the students came alive with the

vibrancy of colors, and different sparkling

materials.

HINDI CALLIGRAPHY COMPETITION HELD

AT APS MATHURA

APS Mathura conducted a Hindi Calligraphy

competition for the students of Class I-V on

16th July, 2021.All the students actively

participated in the competition and showed

interest through their beautiful

handwriting. The criteria for the judgment

CELEBRATION OF VAN MAHOTSAV AT APS

MATHURA

On 2nd July,2021, Students of the Primary

Wing (Classes I –V) planted the saplings

with their own hands in the premises of

their house under the careful guidance of

the teachers and the parents.

On 5th July, 2021, Hand Print Competition

was held for the students of classes VI to

VIII with the purpose of making learning

fun. The students were judged on the basis

of creativity, colour combination and

neatness.

On 7th July,2021,Students of Classes VI to XII

took part in Slogan Writing Competition

It was on 7th July, 2021 that the students of

Sarojini Naidu House conducted a special

assembly virtually on the theme ‘Van

Mahotsav’

EXAMINATION

ACHIEVEMENT IN SWC DEBATE -2021

Army Public School,

Mathura registered its

spectacular win in the

SOUTH WESTERN

COMMAND English &

Hindi debate

Competition held on virtual platform on

24th and 25th August, 2021 respectively. In

the command level debate, 12 schools of

the South Western command participated.

It’s a matter of dignity for all of us that APS

Mathura secured the 1st position in English

and the third position in Hindi SWC debate.

The topic for English debate was ‘INDIA’S

PROGRESS IN SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC

FRONTS FROM 1947 TILL DATE’ and for

Hindi debate, it was ‘NAYI SHIKSHA NEETI

NAYI PEEDI KE LIYE NAYI SOCH.’ The

Principal, Dr. Ramma Mattoo eulogized the

achievers for their consecutive and splendid

success at the Command level.

JANMASHTMI-2021 CELEBRATION AT APS

MATHURA

The Principal, Dr. Ramma Mattoo blessed all

the students on this auspicious day and

gave them the message to get inspired by

Lord Krishna. She addressed the students

and proclaimed the importance of having

their presence even in the virtual

celebrations.. She motivated all the

students to respect and have faith in

Almighty.

INDIAN SPELLIN BEE 2020-21

Students of class I to IX participated in India

spelling bee 2020-21. They appeared in this

examination in the month of May 2021

online. 4 students got medals and
