Here We Grow Again We were blessed with baptisms the last few weeks. Kelly Ziegler was immersed into Christ on April 25 as well as Brittany Hamilton that same day. Kelly is the daughter of Al & Kim Dadacki and lives at 6469 Sixth Street along with her two sib-lings, Michael & Emily. Brittany and her parents, Bob & Shelly Hamilton, and her brother Brendan live at 6315 Beechwood Drive. We welcome these new members and we rejoice with them in their decision to take Christ as their Savior. Please continue to pray for others that need to make similar decisions.

L. I. F. T. (Ladies In Fellowship Together)

L.I.F.T. will be resuming this Fall. We hope to help meet the needs of our church family and further church growth. If you are inter-ested in attending a brain storming/planning session this summer (or if you’d just like to see L..I.F.T. resume), please contact Pam Kern @ 286-1854.

Pocket Pals - Breakfast Finale June 7th @ 9AM.

All pocket pals are invited to join us next Sunday at 9 a.m. for a celebra-tion breakfast as we gather and enjoy doughnuts, juice, and coffee together and celebrate our new friendships that we’ve made. Thanks to every-one for participating this year!

Summer Bible Study “You & Me Forever”

Starts June 7th @ 9:30 a.m. Married? Single? Dating? If so, there’s a new class designed for you. Starting June 7th we’re inviting you to join us for a new Bible Study that includes teaching time by Francis & Lisa Chan. Their new book challenges us to be the best mar-riage partners we can be and to also keep an eternal perspective on marriage as well. We look forward to a great class and discussion and to the strengthening of our marriages!

Bible Bowl The most wonderful time of the year—”Tournament Time!” It’s going to be a full month of fun as the Bible bowl teams head out for the final tournaments of the season. The team will be traveling to Milligan College in TN, Kentucky, and Cincinnati, Ohio! Please keep the team in your prayers as they travel and compete.

Church Constitution The following article has been voted on and ap-proved by a congregational vote of 88-0 on May 3rd. May we always continue to hold Biblical truth at the center of Novesta’s message! Article V Marriage

The Bible defines marriage as a lifelong commit-ment made by one woman and one man. (Genesis 2:24, I Corinthians 7:2, Hebrews 13:4) . Novesta Church of Christ uses this definition for all church decisions concerning marriage. Marriage is the only legitimate and acceptable sexual relationship. (Exodus 20:14; Hebrews 13:4; 1st Corinthians 6:9-10; Galatians 5:19; Romans 1:26-28).

Co-Ed Softball Both of our teams are off to great starts to the softball season. Novesta 1 has only suffered 1 loss so far and No-vesta ‘Fun’ is actually 3-3 through 6 games. As the summer rolls on we invite you to come on up to the park and enjoy a great evening of fellowship and fun. Join us on:

June 2nd, 9th, 15th, 19th, 23rd, & 29th.

His House Christian Fellowship This Spring, 284 students left campus and crisscrossed this country to serve, share, assist, build and help those in need of the Gospel message. Stu-dents were the hands and feet of

Christ in 17 cities, 13 different states and 2 coun-tries. These short trips often open the eyes of those participating to future life-long ministry possibilities. C.R.A.M. (Christ Reaching Asia Missions) In a previous report it was shared that CY Kim’s Visa was denied. CRAM is thrilled to announce that CY has received a 10 year China Visa. CY Kim had shared just before going through immigrations he prayed “God if you have a job for me to do … let me through, but if there is nothing for me to do … I do not want to go!” There is still work for this soldier to do. CRAM is excited to provide a new opportunity for individuals to become a direct partner in their Philip-pine Children’s Ministry. It is titled “boat Kids Club.” You can get involved directly by supporting one child from each family at the Bacoor Village for $30 a month. These funds will be used exclusively in providing each child with food, medical and educa-tional services. None of these children have had any education. You will receive a letter from them three times throughout the year. Go to: www.cramwinc.org.

Baby Bottle Boomerang Concludes June 21st.

Over the past month we’ve been collecting our

change to make a difference in the lives of young moms & dads through the Positive Alternatives min-istry. If you still have your baby bottle, you can bring that in to the church office anytime between now and Father’s day. Thanks for making a difference.

Children’s Ministry Volunteers We’re on the lookout for a few good men and women. We’re looking to expand our Jr. Church classes from 2 classes to 3 in order to reduce the class size. In order for that to happen we’re going to need a few more volunteers. If you’re willing to serve in this area, please talk to Josh as soon as possible. This is an incredible opportunity to do great ministry! You will be a blessing and I guaran-tee that you’ll be blessed as well. Join in and help us continue to reach young lives with the beautiful message of Jesus’ love!

Church Camp

We want to encourage all of our parents to strongly consider sending your kids and students to summer camp. Camp can be a great place for faith to grow, friendships to be made, and community to get stronger. Novesta covers half the cost of tuition for camp at Wolverine & Rock Lake camps. There is a board in the middle hallway with all of the camp in-formation that you’ll need as well as a sign-up to see which week other kids are attending. If you have questions, talk to Brad & Kristy or Josh.

Bright Shirt Sunday - June 28th Jesus said that a city on a hill can-not be hidden. As a sign of commu-nity and mostly just for fun, we’re encouraging everyone to wear their brightest shirt on June 28th. It’s a fun way to light up the morning and to be reminders of the ‘Son’!
