Library day: Monday, May 11th
Dear Parents:Hope you had a wonderful weekend! This week the kids had a great time during our field trip to flex family! They experienced many different activities, from gymnastics to dance, dodge ball, racing carts and an enormous play gym! they had a wonderful day and lots of lovely memories to keep and remember!
Literacy Inquiry:This week we will be focusing onletter Zz. We will be creating a zoo craft
, a zipper crown, working on our journals for letter Z and we will continue reviewing all the sight words we have learned this year.We will also start reading leveled books to practice reading easy books independently.
Math Inquiry:We will be introducing subtraction through different games and activities. We will also continue practicing counting till 100 and reviewing patterns through daily activities like calendar time.
Unit of Inquiry:Central idea:Expression of ideas and feelings can be
demonstrated creatively through the arts.
This week we will be focusing on expressing ourselves through drawing , painting and coloring. We will discuss the work of great Artists like Vincent Van Gogh And different techniques of Painting like Pointillism.
Important dates:Sunday May 10-13: KG1 art gallery in the main gate tennis area. Wednesday May 20th : Student-led conferences 5:30-8:30.Monday May 25th : Water table dayThursday May 28th : Dress-down day.Monday June 1st : Students last day
