Welcome back and Happy New Year
Welcome to all our school families,
students and staff members. We look
forward to an interesting, and busy 2020.
Welcome to our new staff members – Claire McKenna in Prep,
Karin Diep and Natasha Huysmans in Grade 2, Sophie Salvitti
in Grade 4, Scott Wegener and Rebecca Edmands in Grade
5, Claire Liston in Grade 6 and Aram Lee who is teaching
Japanese. We also welcome back Beth Leach who is teaching
Performing Arts.
Building Works
Over the Christmas break period we had lots of work done to
improve our school. Thank you to Duncan White for organising
the installation of our new Bike Shelter area. We also added
two extra classroom spaces, one in the Middle School for 3A
and one in the Junior School for 1D as well as the fitting out of
the new Grade 6 space at the back of the school.
School Council Elections - 2020
Each year we elect half of the School Council. There are 3
parent and 2 co-opted positions available this year. If we
have more nominations than the number of positions available,
there will be a vote held. If you are interested, or would like
to hear more about School Council, please come to the School
office to collect a form, from next week. Forms received are
displayed on the windows of the office area. The last date for
nominations to be received is Thursday, 27th February 2020.
Best wishes

We are excited to announce that this year Kerrimuir is launching a new House Structure!

Our new Houses have been named after local street names, and are linked with a native
Australian animal.

Students will find out their new houses on our House Launch Day next Friday 7th February.
There will be fun activities in your new houses and a few special surprises on the day!
