Unfortunately we have had to abandon our hopes of
running our annual seminar in February this year and
would like to apologise to all of you who have been
looking forward to attending.
Last year’s seminar was our best ever with guest speakers
Tom Hafey and Dan Moore providing both the
entertainment and the investment information that we
have been looking for from our speakers at the seminars.
We had booked the seminars in for February the 19th,
however once again we have had trouble with our guest
speakers having to cancel.
I would like to confirm however that we have booked our
seminars in for the end of the year on the 12th of
November at the Deniliquin RSL Club at lunch time and
Monichino's Winery near Katunga in the evening. We
will be going out of our way to make sure that these
seminars are first class again to make up for not having
one in 2014.
I know that many of you look forward to the seminars
and catching up each year and for those of you that have
not been to Monichino's Winery, I can assure you that the
meals, wine and venue are one of the best in the
Goulburn Valley. Once again, I would like to apologise to
everyone that was looking forward to attending as this is
the first one that we have missed in the past 10 years.
Warm regards,
Rob Morris

Our Skydiving Investor
You may have heard of the Bare Foot Investor who writes an article in the Herald
Sun, answering readers’ questions each week. Well I am pleased to announce that
Premier Financial Planning & Investment Services now have our very own Skydiving
Investor. I would like to congratulate Troy Bartlett who has recently passed his
Diploma of Financial Planning - Investment Module, and is now qualified to give
advice on Investments.
Troy has been with Premier Financial Planning for over 18 months now and has been
providing advice to clients on Risk Insurances. He can now expand his horizons, however will continue to concentrate his
advice on the Risk Insurance part of our business for clients.
As a result of Troy's success, we have decided that we will include a Question and Answer section within our Newsletter,
where you can ask any question regarding Insurance, Investments, Superannuation or Financial Planning and we will
answer the question in our Newsletter.
To the person that provides the best question that we receive and publish, we will provide a
bottle of wine. The questions can have anything to do with your own situation, or of a more
general nature if you prefer. Remember no question is a dumb question and we will not
publish your name if you don't want us to.
Please email your questions to: [email protected].

One question that we sometimes get asked by
prospective clients off the street is "where should I Invest
my money?".
There is no simple answer to this question as every person
is different and will have different objectives for their
investment. Some people are not prepared to take any
risks with their hard earned money and will only look at
investments that are guaranteed, such as Term Deposits.
Whereas others are prepared to invest for the long term
and are comfortable that there may be short term losses in
order to achieve higher long term returns. These types of
investors may look to invest in shares or property, for
example.
Some people will require short term access to the funds and
cannot afford to lock their money into Superannuation,
whereas others may be prepared to put the money away for
their Retirement. A person’s tax situation may also affect
the best place to invest as some investments are more tax
effective than others, and of course if a person is receiving a
benefit from Centrelink, such as the Aged Pension, we
might have to take this into account.
As you can see there are many things that may affect where
the best place may be for you to invest. This is why we have
to complete various Fact Find and Risk Profile information
documents to help us determine the right outcome for your
individual situation.
