Dear Families,
Working With Children’s Check Code of Conduct.
With the new Child Safety Standards implemented
by the Education Department, it is a requirement
that all volunteers who enter the school have read
and signed the Code of Conduct and hold a current
Working With Childrens’ Check. If parents who
wish to volunteer their time and services at any
time at the school please make sure you have
provided a copy of the above. Working with
Children's Checks can be applied for online at
www.workingwithchildren.vic.gov.au
Easter Raffle
The Parent Group will be drawing the Easter Raffle
at assembly tomorrow. If families would still like to
donate please leave your donation at the office in
the morning.
Tupperware Orders
Any families who would still like to order from
either the lunchbox fundraiser or regular
catalogues please ensure that your completed
orders have been returned to the office by Friday
morning. Orders will be processed during the
holidays and will be available in Term 2.
Term 2
The first day of term 2 is Tuesday 18th April. We
hope all families have a safe and enjoyable holiday
and Easter and we look forward to seeing you all in
Term 2.
Pupil Free Day
Monday 24th April will be a pupil free day. Staff
will be participating in professional learning on this
day in the field of Dyslexia.
Cross Country - Fun Run
Each year Tawonga plays host to Mt Beauty,
Dederang and Falls Creek Primary Schools with
the annual Upper Kiewa Schools Fun Run.
Students from these schools come to Tawonga
for the day to participate in the annual event.
This is held in the paddock behind the school.
This year the fun run will be held on Friday
12th May.
Cluster Athletics
Congratulations to all students who
participated fully in all the events. We have 10
students who have qualified to represent the
Cluster at the Division competition at the
beginning of Term 4. Well Done to Alec F who
won the age group champion for 8/9 boys.
There was a mix up on the day and Alec will get
awarded his certificate at tomorrow’s
assembly.

THANKYOU
Thankyou to the families who contributed
to our Easter Raffle. We also thank Sue
and Len Plum for their donation of some
delicious local honey from their farm.
Thank you also goes to the parents who
have given up their time this term to assist
in the classroom with reading and making
day activities. Your contribution is much
appreciated.

Big Write Yr 2-6 Below is the Big Write topic for Week 1, Term 2.
The gardening group planted some bulbs in the garden beds near the front entrance. It is great to see this area come alive over the
past 12 months with our kiwifruits, berries and herbs.
The cooking group are busy in the kitchen today making coconut cookies.
The Making group were busy with their boomerang bags. Thank you to Becky, Erin and Anne for all their help in the making group
today.

Junior Clinic being held on April 3,4 and 5 with Golf Pro Mi-
chael Skinner. The Clinic starts at 10am sharp and is fully su-
pervised.
Each day will be followed by a sausage sizzle and presentation
of awards for skills exhibited and for encouragement for use
of knowledge gained in the Clinic..

Team Mt Beauty are hosting a social ride day for members. Come to the mountain bike park for shuttles, kids rides and activities, social rides and a BBQ.
Participants must be a TMB member (tmb.org.au) and MTBA member ($5 day licence also available on the day).
