Dear Parents, Carers and Community Members, Week 3 is here as we settle back into our routine. The students are all enjoying being back at school, and especially loving working in the vegetable garden and the cooking activities with Mrs Carter and Mrs Sue. The staff are very happy to have the children back, too! We have been granted extra cleaning while the
pandemic is on, and as such will have 2 hours of daytime cleaning each school day. This means desks, handrails, tables and chairs, etc., will be wiped over during the day as well as the end of school, helping to keep us all safe
and healthy. Thank you to Kylie for stepping up to do this. While many things are unsettled in world, some of the changes we have had to make mean that we are able to do things we have not had access to before, including educational assessments and programs. We are fortunate to have access to the Centre for Effective Reading, and to technology that will allow us to access their resources in real time as we need to.

We have received plenty of hand sanitiser and soap, as well as disinfectant spray and paper towels, so we are doing our best to keep our school safe.
I will always find a silver lining! Stay safe. Kind regards, Sue Clark Relieving Principal
This photo was taken Tuesday 12th May 2020 at 8.46am—it wasn’t even school time and all the students were in class on their laptops. Our students love using their computers and are thoroughly enjoying utilising Minecraft Education, it is a great tool for encouraging completion of work.
Minecraft is educational because it enhances creativity, problem-solving, self-direction, collaboration, and other life skills. In the classroom, Minecraft complements reading, writing, math, and even history learnings.

Arnott’s released their Monte Carlo biscuit recipe to the public. This was because people were in lockdown with travel restrictions. The recipe was disclosed so that people had an activity to do while at home. I sent leftovers home. The biscuits were enjoyed so much that a parent requested the recipe.
YUM!!

On hold
Unfortunately due to COVID-19 the Wyangala Country
Club is closed and we are looking forward to it reopening.

We made meat pies with mince, puff pastry and some shortcrust pastry. They were a hit and we had no leftovers. What a lovely warm lunch for our bellies during the cooler weather.
We also made biscuits for Mothers Day which turned out to look so pretty and were tasty with a topping of chocolate and a lolly.
Even though Lids4Kids Collections have been
temporarily suspended, please keep saving your
lids and when COVID-19 is no longer a threat,
please drop them off.
Lids that can’t be donated to Lids4Kids can still
be donated as we will forward these to
Woodstock Public School for their school mural.
As part of Woodstock Public School’s Creative Arts program this year they are going to be creating
a plastic bottle top mural for one of their outdoor walls. They would love it if their wider community
would like to save and donate the tops off their plastic bottles. All sizes and colours welcome.
Don’t forget your bread tags as well, these will be donated to Mrs Shani
Nottingham and The Breadtag Project, once she is finished with them they will
be donated to Aussie Bread Tags for Wheelchairs. Check out the Facebook
page @breadtagproject
