A big congratulations to staff and students for such a productive year. Many thanks to our school community family who support us in so many ways. We survived!!! The students who attended the Sydney excursion had a great time. We saw so many iconic Sydney sights; The Harbour Bridge, The Sydney Opera House, Manly Ferry, State Parliament, The Sydney Tower, Darling Harbour and lots more. It was exhausting however, I am sure all students and teachers learnt new things and have many fun and fond memories. My thanks to Ms. Parsonage and Mrs. Campbell who organised a great itinerary and for accompanying the students on a great learning experience. I am sure everyone was pleased to be in their own beds Friday night. Please remember that Wednesday is the last day of school for students. Thursday and Friday no student is required to attend school. These days are staff development days where the staff may be off site and will not be at school to look after students. The staff will be focusing on developing and organising lesson content and professional development in literacy, numeracy and Aboriginal Education for the students of Booral. Congratulations to Rebecca Gleeson who is one of the Great Lakes Councils, 2010 Australia Day Schools Calendar competition winner. Also, congratulations to Emily, Jaylee, Mackenzie, Tylah for being the winners of the St John’s Anglican Church Bear Art competition. Our new member of staff who will be replacing Mrs Courtney from Term 2, 2010 is Miss. Sarah Blake. Miss. Blake comes from Telarah PS. We welcome Miss. Blake to Booral PS. I would like to wish everyone a very happy and safe Christmas break . I look forward to seeing all students Yrs 1-6 back on Thursday 28th January and Kindergarten on Monday 1st February. Merry Christmas Creating Future Leaders Rebecca Langdon
