Afforestation Target
Achieved The Project’s target of raising
plantations in both Artificial
Re-generation (AR) model and
Aided Natural Re-generation
(ANR) model was 53,000 ha
and the same is to be
completed within 2014-15

has achieved 53,026 ha of
plantations within time
allowed. This is a significant
success of the Project. Of these
plantations bamboo
plantations consisted about
20,000 ha and the rest are of
miscellaneous species. It is
heartening to know that the
bamboo plantations have
started yielding mature
bamboo and the JFMCs are
able to harvest and sell these.
However, it is the responsibility
of the Project to see that the
JFMCs who are the owners of
the resource
share of these benefits
without any hindrance.
Project has a balance
of 2,200 ha of agro
