CROSS COUNTRY 2015 Dear Parents/Carers, We have scheduled our Cross Country Carnival for Friday 27th March 2015. The children will assemble under the Cola at 9:00 for a 9:10 start. We will begin with 8/9’s followed by 10’s, 11’s, 12/13’s. As we had the Fun Run in Week 7 the Kinders and Year 1’s will not be running this year. The first 6 students in each age division will make it to the District Carnival held on the Thursday of Week 1, Term 2. Parents are welcome to come and watch and we ask that you move out to the Western if doing so, so we can marshall the students correctly under the Cola. It is expected that students remain at school after the event.

Students should:

Wear their house group coloured T-shirt

Wear their school hat

Wear appropriate running shoes and shorts

Bring plenty of water and fresh fruit

Wear sun cream

HOUSE GROUPS

We look forward to a fun filled morning!

Rod Wishart & Paul McGregor Rugby League Legends Shield Day

On Wednesday the 18th of March we took away five teams, 2 girls and 3 boys, to represent our school at the Rod Wishart and Paul

McGregor Rugby League Legends Shield Day at Flinders Oval Flinders. On the day our teams played against schools from our

local area with our boys teams finishing in second and fourth position overall. Our girls’ teams thoroughly enjoyed the exper ience

of playing Dragon Tag and participating in the fun day. We would like to say thank you to all parents involved in assisting on the

day with a special thanks to Erica Winkelbauer for coaching our junior boys team and Donna Moon for donating socks. We would

also like to express our thanks to Michael Hodgson and Philip Cawsey for arranging Warilla Gorillas Football Club jerseys for our

teams to wear on the day. Without the support from parents and students we received, this day would not have been possible.

Congratulations to all students involved, you proudly represented our school. Here are some photos that capture the students in

action on the day.
