Cost £3.32 per adult. Starting Wednesday 27 th of February for 6 weeks, Year 5 & 6 children will be taking part in the Activ8it plus project. The project will be led by staff from the education team at Portman Road. The aim is to develop and raise awareness of healthy living whilst providing new sporting challenges to children. The curriculum covered will focus on the importance of breakfast, food, merits of exercise and hydration and 5 a day. The tuition and resources are provided free of charge thanks to funding from the Football League Trust and Ipswich Town Charitable Trust. The children will need an indoor and outdoor PE kit available every Wednesday. It’s award season in the world of film so that means… it’s award season in the world of FILMCLUB! Up for grabs is a special FILMCLUB on the Road experience where they will turn school hall into a cinema. However, if we want to win a visit to Earl Soham, we’ll have to fight for it! FILMCLUB will bring their van to the school within each region that sends them the most reviews during the month of February 2013. FILMCLUB have set out 4 different club size categories the size of clubs will be taken into consideration when they award the prize! As an incentive, FILMCLUB promise to tailor FILMCLUB on the Road to make it extra special. They’ll provide the film, popcorn and activities. The reviews need to be uploaded to the FILMCLUB website as usual. All the children have to do is get into a reviewing frenzy and get uploading as many reviews as possible. It would be great to see our children using this event as a stimulus to get writing reviews! If they’re not sure how to write or upload a review, please get in touch.
