Then what separates the saved from the devils? What makes those that are

saved different?

own selves.

LESSONS FROM THE CORNFIELD  “At that time, Jesus went on the Sabbath Day through the corn; and His disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat”.      - Matthew 12: 1

The human soul is similar to a cornfield.

1. For every cornfield to be fruitful, the soil must must be prepared: environment, education and companionship.

2. In every cornfield seed must be sown: having God’s Word in our hearts.

3. Every cornfield must grow and produce. We must Spiritually grow and produce a good harvest.

4. Every cornfield has its share of weeds: Some are toxic and must be uprooted at once; some are merely flowers in the wrong place. Sin must be fought and destroyed and idiosyncrasies, temperament, likes, dislikes, gifts, and talents must be kept in their proper places within our lives and souls.

5. From every cornfield, a harvest is expected.

“”Be not deceived; God’s not mocked: whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap”.      - Galatians 6: 7

In Christ’s Service,

Pastor A. Mike Biggs, Jr.

ONE DAY AT A TIME

Hello Newsletter readers!! Hope everyone is well and wearing your mask when you go out. This sure has been a difficult year for everyone but we will get through it with God's help. I have some sad news about Diamond. She has a tumor on her spleen that is cancer. Surgery isn't an option due to where it's at and her age. We are just making her as comfortable as we can and enjoying what time we have left with her. In her mind she is still a pup but her body is giving out. Moose is doing pretty good but he knows something is going on with his sister. For now she is doing pretty good she is eating and drinking and getting around pretty good. We will take it one day at a time. That's all any of us can do is take one day at a time. Our world looks pretty bad right now but if you are saved we know a better day is coming. The things people are doing and saying I just don't understand . I do know the world needs Jesus really bad. I have heard we are living in the last days all my life but I really believe we are. The world is a wicked place, just like it was in the days of Noah before the flood. My son posted this on facebook this week the scripture Matthew 24:37...As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. Just take a look around at everything that is going on. People need to wake up and see what road they are going down because one day it will be to late and the road will say Dead End. If you are saved the end of the road will say “Enter in my good and faithful servant.” It's hard to be cheerful and happy some days when you see the news and all the bad stuff but we can be happy in our hearts cause we know who is in control. Yes it looks like the world is out of control but that's man not God. If everyone trusted in God we wouldn't have all this chaos. We don't know what the future holds but we know who holds the future. We can't live in the past cause what is gone is gone. We can't live in the future but we can prepare for it. I've been reading in the book of John for a few days and I read something in my commentary book and I thought it was good. Be the good steward for Christ!

Psalm 34:4.

I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. Never in our wildest imaginations could we have

dreamed up the situation we're in these days. A pandemic. What? If you are like me, you are having a hard time dealing

with all of the issues involved with trying to stay safe and living as "normally" as we did pre-pandemic. The lack of

socialization has been the worst for me. I, as do many others, simply require human interaction to be mentally and

physically healthy and happy. I am not meant to be a hermit and yet here I am most days. It's not that anything has

changed, I can pretty much go and do. It's just the idea that we have this virus to contend with. Now that we have

resumed in- house church services, I can't use isolation as an excuse to feel alone. I've always heard that you can find

something good in everything if you look hard enough so I applied that to the situation. I have more time to make calls to shut-ins, send cards and definitely pray more. I read more devotionals and have more time and interest in studying the

Bible. We certainly appreciate getting to assemble for church services. I look at the medical personnel and service workers

with even more respect. I try to frequently count my blessings! I revisited the Book of Job to remind myself that

things can be a lot worse ---. even horrific --- but to never lose faith. While thinking about the pandemic I went back to read about the plagues of Egypt. We can guess and hope that we

aren't facing anything on that scale, but what if we were? When Moses was leading the children of Israel the Bible

speaks of them grumbling and complaining. This was not pleasing to God. Would I have been any different? I excel at whining and complaining so I think I would have fit right in. I wouldn't have ever got to see the Promised Land! I'm sure

God still doesn't like to hear me grumbling. I definitely need to work on that. Better count my blessings more often. I

don't think that it's an accident that the Book of Psalm follows the Book of Job. Always, God has a plan for us to

prosper if we follow Him. Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not into thine own understanding. An

important point for us as Christians is to believe ALL of the Bible, not just parts of it. Hebrews 13:5 tells us that He will

never leave us or forsake us and I am holding on to that promise.

LAUGHTER ISTHE BEST MEDICINE

By: LoVera Preston

Laughter Is the Best Medicine

Wrinkles are where smiles used to be.

A preacher had been preaching for over an hour and he noticed one of his members had fallen asleep. He told the usher to wake him up and he said, “You put him to sleep,

so you wake him up!”

A young woman was once rich and beautiful, but she spent all her money on worldly things and was broke. Her

parents were very poor and needed money to pay their bills, but the daughter had spent her wealth on nothing that

would help them. She went to the dentist and said she would give her four front teeth for a certain amount of

money to help pay her parents bills. The dentist refused to do that, but paid her bills and didn’t pull her teeth. He had

compassion on her.

In Bible days, women were hired to mourn at funerals.

Points to Ponder

Old people count their blessings instead of calories.

A 5th grade teacher said, “God is in his Heaven and all is well.” One Little girl asked, “But, where is Mrs. God?”Don’t complain about being old, some people die young.

Encyclopedias for sale…..wife knows it all!

A 5 year-old said, “Jesus was put to death because Pilot didn’t do anything. He just washed his hands.”

A man talking to his friend said, “Your toupe is turning gray.”

We will meet God someday. What will he say about that old couple you could have helped, but didn’t?

The Bible says 150 times to sing praises to the Lord!

What mountain did the ark rest on? (Genesis 8:1-4)

Just ThinkingBy: Bro. Roger

Words!Words are just one of the ways we communicate with

each other. Words are either written or they are verbal (in person, recorded or live streamed etc.). How words affect those intended to receive them depends on your own means of delivery. I mean after all we are not robots with a mono tone speech with no body language. An example is if a robot told you I hate you, I hate you, I hate you probably wouldn’t stir up any anger. But if an acquaintance voiced those words with the facial expressions to go with it, I imagine that would raise your blood pressure a little. If that person stated it with a grin and a slight chuckle, which would probably elicit a grin on your face as well. I think you understand the concept of what I am getting at. Words can give information needed without any emotional impact like the distance between two towns or describe the colors of a rainbow.

Christ tells the two great commandments in Mark 20:30-31 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’[f] 31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[g] There is no commandment greater than these.” Think about this, if I say that I am going to the store in a bit, yet I never go. Then the words I spoke are meaningless. That would put a shadow of trust with being believable. Same thing, if leaving church on Sunday I say to you, love and appreciate you brother or sister and that is all that comes from me. After a while of the same exchange, would it be believable in what I am expressing? I doubt it. In 1 John 3:18 it states “My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue, but in deed, and in truth”. If you only express the words, how can I know if the words are true! If I state to you that I love and appreciate you while I give you a simple hug, I believe that would give you a reassuring feeling that that person is genuine.

Words can be very harmful or they can make a world of difference in someone’s life if they are proven in deed and truth. Of course in loving your brother as yourself, you would never intentionally cause another person any grief. That would not be Christian like. Instead, let us love one another in deed and truth. Of course there are those that feel that a hug is too much of a temptation. Not if Christ is the first and foremost in your life. The temptation would not even be a fleeting thought in your mind! Love God, Love one another, save souls! Amen

May God BlessBro. Roger
