Don McCurdy is the executive director of the Ontario Press Council, selected in the fall of 2010 following an extensive career
as a journalist and distinguished work as a volunteer in journalistic activities. He is the former executive editor and managing editor of the daily Waterloo Region Record, where he worked for 35 years. He is also a former editor of community newspapers in Waterloo and Guelph, and a reporter-photographer in Cambridge and Bradford.
