Keep Yorkton Looking Great! Most city property owners take great pride in their yards and gardens. However there are some properties with very long grass and weeds which can affect the appearance of the whole neighborhood.

Residents are reminded that they are responsible for keeping all properties they occupy or own in acceptable condition. Under Property Standards Bylaw 1/2011, an order for cleanup may be issued for untidy properties. If the cleanup is not done a contractor can be hired by the City and the cost added to the property tax for that location.

Help keep Yorkton a great looking community!

Notice to Dog OwnersDog ownership has many benefi ts, but with ownership also comes responsibility. The City of Yorkton understands the joys pet ownership can bring.

It is important to remember that no owner of a dog shall permit his dog to be running at large at any time in the City of Yorkton. All dogs must be kept on a leash and/or under the proper control of their owner at all times.

Substantial fi nes will be issued and criminal charges may be laid against owners allowing their dogs to run at large, and dogs may be euthanized if deemed dangerous.

To ensure Yorkton remains a safe community for all, residents are also encouraged to report aggressive dogs or dogs that are not under the proper care and control of their owners. Contact Bylaw Enforcement at 306-786-1725.
