Back to the future of innovation

The economic recovery after World War II has provided a favorable platform for the invention and development of new technologies and materials.

In 1968, the first aluminium composite plate of ALUCOBOND® was created. Having replaced the hundreds-of-years tradition of solid metals. The light metal revolution arose on the continent.

ALUCOBOND® has created a new era: sophisticated ideas, exceptional quality, and pursuit of grandeur. Since then, ALUCOBOND® has taken its role in constant innovation.

1964年一个偶然的机会 Dr. Dieter 和他的同事 Franz Luckey 与贝尔实验室

合作，希望开发一种比铝材更轻质，

强度更高的材料。1968年他们成功的

试制了世界上第一块铝复合板并取名

“阿鲁克邦”，并于1969年在德国辛

根工厂量产，使之从实验室走向了工

厂车间。1970年，阿鲁克邦® 在德国

勒沃库森完成了其在建筑外墙上的首

秀，并就此奠定其在欧洲建筑材料中

的地位。

Product Manufacture

In 1964, Dr. Dieter and his colleague Franz Luckey worked with Bell Labs by chance and hoped to develop a new material that has lighter weight and more strength than solid aluminium material. In 1968, the first mature aluminium composite panel was trial-produced by them and given the name 'Alucobond'. ALUCOBOND was graduated to mass production in the Singen plant, Germany in 1969, when it went from laboratory to factory. In 1970, ALUCOBOND established its reputation among European architectural materials after its first show in building facades in Leverkusen, Germany.
