NEXT GENERATION PRP IS NOW AVAILABLE! PLATELET-RICH PLASMA (PRP) is a recent break- through that has gained tremendous momentum in the fields of esthetics, traumatology, rheumatology, surgery and veterinary practice. Autologous treatment frees up multiple growth factors (including TGF-ß, b FGF, PDG Fa-b, EGF, VEGF, CTGF). It also promotes cellular regeneration if given in sufficient quantity and concentration (no concentration limit, from x6 to x14 and more as you can add platelets harvested from a second blood sample of the same patient) to obtain clear and reproducible results. THE PRP SOLUTIONPROVIDING QUANTITYAND PURITY

WorldPRP, a Swiss company, designedand distributes the world's first versatiletool capable of producing a PRP tailoredto all requirements. To measure the quality of PRP, it has beencustomary to talk about plateletconcentration alone, ignoring the otherthree essential parameters : recoveryrate, useful dose and product purity.Indeed, the concentration makes littlesense if only a small fraction of the pla-telets present are recovered. Similarly, the quality of the PRP obtained isquestionable if it is contaminated withtoo many red blood cells. The WorldPRP tube achieves a plateletyield of 80% with 25 ml of bloodsample, and 87% with two samplesfrom the same patient. The PRP is RBCfree, with (L-PRP) or without leukocytes(LP-PRP), in a variable volume and aconcentration on demand from 3x to32x (and as the tube actually allows tocombine in a single product several au-tologous samples resulting in the prac-tically unlimited concentration). Theuseful dose of platelets released isbetween 3 and 9 billion, which farexceeds what is currently available onthe market.

UNIQUE VERSATILITYDepending on the needs, two ways of use are possible: concentration or collection. In order to obtain a highly concentrated PRP, almost all the Buffy Coat is collected atthe neck of the device in a simple gesture (lower piston screwing) before mixing itwith a small amount of plasma. The other way is to collect different plasma fractionsto obtain more volume. In all cases it will be possible to discard or not the leukocytes, without contamination with red blood cells. Use the tube in your own way!

BEST RECOVERY RATE: 80 to 87 %To fully understand this essential parameter, it must be related to the volume ofthe PRP expressed in relation to the total volume of blood. For the very first time,we are proud to introduce the relative strenght index (RSI) which evaluates theconcentration capacity of any device. Thus 80% of the platelets in 7 ml of PRPMedium gives RSI = 80/0.28, i. e. 2.85. The RSI rises to 6 or 16 dependingon the type of PRP fraction your work with.

USEFUL PLATELET DOSE: 3 to 8 billionsFinally, the paramount efficiency factor is nothing but the quantity of plateletsreleased. This data is obtained directly by multiplying the RSI by the volume ofthe PRP. It allows an objective comparison of the true performance of any deviceagainst each other. Our Medium PRP has an index of 18.10; a conventionalgel tube 4.76, which is nearly four times as many platelet factors released.

RED BLOOD CELLS FREEThe concentrations obtained range from 3x to 32x with a single tube. Simply com-bine the platelets obtained with a second tube collected from the same patient to fur-ther improve the scores. Users will appreciate the ease with which leukocytes canbe incorporated into the preparation without any contamination by red blood cells..

GEL / ACRYLATE FREEPlasma preparation of platelet-rich plasma remains perfectly sterile at each stage. No contact with air, no needles. No risk to the patient or to the preparator.

FASTPrepare an ultra pure and custom concentrated PRP in 5 minutes. Once theblood is injected into the device, a single 3-minute centrifugation separates theblood elements. Depending on the desired volume and concentration, you maynow choose your preferred option.

COST EFFICIENTThe WorldPRP tube holds 25 ml and yields 2 to 5 ml of ultrapure PRP. Thedevice is as simple as it is revolutionary, making it a cost-effective investment. One tube is sufficient for most areas to be treated.

A quality centrifuge is a must, whichis why we recommend a specificmodel with the use of our tubes. One of the essentials of PRP is ensuringthe maximum recovery of platelets, which start to degrade as soon as theblood is collected from the patient. To that end, a horizontal centrifugewith gradual action is required.

GENTLE CENTRIFUGATION

UNIQUE DESIGN

A patented 25 ml hourglass-shapedtube with two carefully crafted ope-nings. The buffy coat can be easilyidentified in the neck of the device, where it can be extracted in a singlestep.

SAFETY

It meets CE standards (directive93/42/EEC). Biocompatible materials(ISO standard 9001). Sterilized bygamma irradiation (ISO standard13485).

It takes only 3 minutes to separate theblood components. Seeing the visiblebuffy coat for the first time is reallyamazing. With the simple twist of the bottomcap, you can collect it from the neckof the device, obtaining a concentratemade of almost all the leukocytes anda large amount of platelets. You cankeep the leukocytes or discard themwithout any contamination with RBC.

Used in the surgical block under rigorous aseptic conditions as well as in city practice, the WorldPRP tube has only advantages simply because it is the result of ten years of research listening to PRP practitioners in most disciplines.

SAFETYThe tube is handled without needles, eliminating the risk of injury and contamination. Its components are perfectly biocompatible, just like those of a syringe. Apart fromblood and anticoagulant, the tube contains no foreign substances like gel and otherseparators like acrylates, proven to be toxic. Therefore, there is no risk associatedwith the possible presence of unknown materials in the device.

QUANTITY OF PLATELETS: THE USEFUL DOSEThe success of any PRP treatment depends on the quantity and concentration of platelets.Platelet Rich Plasma implies enrichment of plasma in platelets above the usual concentrationof 145 to 400 1009/l. According to many publications on PubMed, the term PRPapplies only from x3. More and more publications show now that concentrationis a false debate. Instead, the notion of useful dose is of paramount importancein the success of any PRP treatment. With useful doses of 3 to 9 billion platelets, theWorldPRP tube is far ahead of all existing systems.

VOLUME & PLATELET RECOVERY RATEThe maximum amount of platelets depends on the sample volume. The platelet recoveryrate gives an idea of the efficiency of the device. But how do you obtain an index thataccurately reflects the quality of the PRP?

RSI (RELATIVE STRENGTH INDEX)For example, reinjecting pure blood would produce a 100% efficiency! There is noconcentration, and we lack a relationship between recovery rate and volume. But herecomes our RSI calculated as 100% of the platelets / 100% of the volume, here equal to 1with this "no-PRP". The RSI of the simplest PRP devices reaches 1.25, which is only slightlybetter than pure blood. The simplest PRP that we can achieve has a RSI of 2.85! So in orderto accurately gage the quality of the PRP,we came up with a Relative Strength Index (RSI)tracking the relationship between recovery rate and volume. The RSI of the basic PRP devicesreaches 1.25 which is only slightly better than pure blood, whilst WorldPRP can achieve aminimum RSI of 2.85.The concentration power is three times stronger than a "basic" PRP.

BUFFY COAT VISUALIZATION The major disadvantage of most existing devices, from simple tubes to the most sophisticatedand expensive automatic machines, is that it is impossible for the practitioner toestimate the quantity of platelets contained in the sample. This important parameter, depending on the patient's constitution and health, isconsistently ignored. Only the WorldPRP tube allows you to visualize, in a specta-cular way, this platelet cloud on the surface of the red blood cells. This allows you to de-cide whether you need to take a second sample and easily double the amount ofplatelets and the concentration of your PRP.

VISUALIZETHE BUFFY

COAT

PRP VOLUME: 12 ml TO 0,1 ml

EXTRACTING UP TO 80% OF THE PLATELETS (AND EVEN MORE)If you decide to make a concentrated PRP, simply screw the bottom chamber. Thissimple gesture collects about 65% of the platelets and almost all the leukocytes inthe neck of the device, where they are simply sucked out through the well wheninserting a 1ml syringe. You can improve the efficiency, reaching about 80% by adding 3ml of plasmafrom the upper compartment. Some indications will require a small volume of PRP in high concentration: 1 mlwill provide a x14 Premium PRP with an RSI equal to 16.25, more than 10 timesmore concentrated than a basic PRP obtained by gel tube. The resulting usefuldose will be 5 billion platelets.Alternatively, larger volumes can be obtained by combining certain plasma fractions.Standard 3ml PRP has an RSI of 5.0 versus Medium 7ml PRP with an RSI of 2.85.In either case you get a very powerful PRP. And if necessary, the combination of twosamples can achieve a staggering 87% efficiency, while releasing a useful doseof nearly 9 billion platelets!

UNLIMITED CONCENTRATION AND PLATELET RECOVERYIn fact, there is no limit to the concentration and recovery rate because you can combineplatelets from several samples in the same patient. This allows you to increase the vo-lume of PRP obtained without losing any of its power.

BLOOD SEPARATION IN 3 PHASES & USE OF PRFThe WorldPRP tube allows a perfect separation of the blood elements into threedistinct phases and allows the access to the remaining plasma. After having pre-pared your PRP at the desired concentration, you can take a large volume (approx.5 ml) of PRF (plasma rich in fibrin) and use it too. The addition of calcium or throm-bin, if necessary, allows this part of the sample to coagulate so as to be used asa dressing in ulcers or as a filling product in aesthetic medicine, etc. One of theadvantages of the WorldPRP tube: platelet activation does not require the additionof any chemical, the pressure is sufficient to trigger it.

MIXING WITH HA (HYALURONIC ACID)Instead of using PRF, you can also mix your platelet concentrate with hyaluronicacid using the connector provided with each tube. The advantage is that you canuse the brand you prefer, the reticulation you want, in a very economical way.

FILL

The lateral inlet is used to carefully insertthe blood sample (25 ml). It is also where, after centrifugation, you collect the quantityof desired plasma to produce the final for-mula.

The central inlet is the device’s most ingeniousfeature. By twisting it downward, the redblood cells are hermetically isolated fromthe rest of the plasma. The chamber alsohas an opening where a 1 ml syringe canbe inserted at the surface of the buffy coatfor its removal by aspiration from the neckof the device.

CENTRIFUGE

Platelets need to be handled with utmostcare. The centrifuge step is critical in thisrespect. For optimal performance, werecommend the high-end TD5 centrifugemachine. It is so efficient that 3 minutes isall it takes.

The machine is suitable for gentle, gradualcentrifugation. Samples are placed horizontallyin the device, thus benefitting from the fullcentrifuge force – an option not availablewith a 45° rotor, for instance.

The device is controlled by a microproces-sor with digital display and touchscreentechnology. The cover has an automaticlock and protection against overheatingand imbalance. Its performance is ultra-fast and noiseless. The high-grade stainlesssteel casing is safe and reliable.

CONCENTRATE

Twisting the bottom cap causes the redblood cells to rise, pushing the buffy coatto the neck of the device where it isaccumulated. You then twist the upper part to lower thecentral inlet and aspirate 0.1 to 0.3 ml ofultra-concentrated PRP.

The buffy coat is clearlyvisible. It is the cloudysubstance sitting on thesurface of the red bloodcells, ready to be collected.

A second 5 ml syringe isthen used to aspirate theplasma from the bottomof the upper chamber,

where a quantity of platelets remains. Thisis the quintessence of PRP.

COLLECT

You can also collect different plasma fractionsand possibly combine them to obtain adifferent PRP and more volume. After centrifugation, fraction 1 represents avolume of about 5 ml. This is the PPP (PlateletPoor Plasma), which contains only 10% ofthe platelets. Fraction 2 contains 20% of theplatelets. Its power index of 1.25 is the sameas that of the PRP obtained by gel tubes. Itmay be mixed with fraction 3 which containsbuffy coat and 3 ml of PRP with almost 60%of the platelets. This allows all kinds of combinations of differentvolumes and concentrations, with or withoutleukocytes, etc.

COMPETITIVE LANDSCAPE

WORLDPRP IS RUN BY PASSIONATE PRACTICING DOCTORS DEVOTED TO CONTINUALLY IMPROVING RESULTS DERIVED FROM PRP THERAPY.THESE ENTHUSIASTS SOUGHT AND FOUND A MATHEMATICAL RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE IMPORTANT FACTORS THAT MAKE IT POSSIBLE TO QUALIFY THE PRP.

PRP Effectiveness Formula: Relative Strength Index (RSI)RSI X VOLUME PRP = K X PLATELET DOSE WHERE RSI = RECOVERY RATE %/VOL% (IN PERCENT) DOSEPLT= USEFUL PLATELET DOSE (IN BILLIONS) PLT= BLOOD PLATELET COUNT (G/L)The relationship is independent of the withdrawal volume, only the PRP volume is relevant. At equal PRP volume, the RSI ratio is equal to the ratio of PLT doses provided by the devices being compared. In the case of different PRP volumes, the RSI x vPRP ratios for each device are the same as the actual dose ratios.
