FROM THE PREZ
Hi LEMOC,
Another month has flown by. I hope that everyone that went to Charlotte had a great time at the National
Mustang celebration and opening of the Mustang Owners Museum.
I hope to get to the museum sometime but someone very special delayed our trip there.
We had a LEMOC 55th Mustang birthday celebration on April 17 with dinner, games and lots of fun. It was
nice to have such a great turnout. The Trinko’s Bugatti won the model car show and there were a couple of
Mustangs in the parking lot.
I was lucky enough to attend the MCA show in Houston and saw some nice cars. Congrats to Northside
Mustang Car club, they pulled off a great show. It was really cool to have the car show at a flight museum. It
reminded me of the car show and fly-in at the Erie airport.
The highlight was going to the Johnson Space Center for the car show banquet.
May starts the cruise in’s and car shows and hopefully a great summer. If you know of any events that aren’t
posted in the Pony Post, let Denise know and she can add the events to the calendar.
Hope to see everyone at the meeting next week, hear the stories of folks that went to Charlotte,
and just maybe the weather will cooperate and we can drive our Mustangs!

55th BIRTHDAY PARTY AT QSL
A small group of club members got together on April 17th to celebrate the Mustang birthday at Quaker Steak and Lube on
Peach St. Looks like the kids enjoyed the model car show….while some adults enjoyed the bigger models at the Mustang
Museum opening in Concord, NC.
Five club members made the trip to Charlotte. While bad weather reports put the damper on Fri. celebrations, it didn’t stop
the members that went from enjoying the area.
A view of the outside of the museum… our club flag hanging inside the museum..one of the displays inside
A member from the Pittsburgh club even had their car displayed in the museum.
ca
LEMOC met up with the MVM group and 1 NEO member for a CAN AM get together at their hotel. Cars waiting patiently
for the largest gathering of Mustangs in a parade for the record. Even cars from Sao Paulo. The record was not broken.
Daniel Carpenter Manufacturing was giving tours of his plant and we got to see the original Ford molds that are still used
and how a carb bowl is made. Yes they are made right at this plant!
Oh Oh looks like somebody got “arrested” for speeding…..
